We just returned home from our 6th visit to CSS. Here is a brief review of our stay from August 15-21. AIRPORT ARRIVAL: We flew into MBJ and booked Club Mobay arrival service. This was an addition that we normally purchase, and we are glad we did. We landed at 2:30 and the airport was very crowded. We breezed thru immigration and were in the lounge quickly. After just enough time for a couple drinks we were summoned to load our bus. The bus ride was about 2 1/2 hours with very heavy traffic most of the way. Driver was entertaining. RECEPTION: We were greeted with cold towels and champaign and check in was seamless. In less than 15 minutes we were shuttled to our room. GROUNDS: Immaculate. The grounds crew does an outstanding job. This resort is absolutely beautiful. An incredible amount of time and energy is put into keeping this plush resort beautiful. These people are the MVP's of CSS. Always smiling, singing and quick to say hello each time we meet. ROOM: We stayed in A 103. We requested a ground floor room which we received. We normally prefer B block, but this room was great. Our bell man gave us a room tour and explained all the details. The only issue we had with the room was on our next to last day the AC was leaking really bad when we returned from breakfast. A call to maintenance and the problem was fixed when we returned to our room after the beach. ROOM SERVICE: We used room service each afternoon after returning from the beach. Quick with outstanding service. HOUSEKEEPING: We can't say enough about these ladies. They are great. Our room was kept spotless. The turndown service was a nice touch when returning from a night of dinner and entertainment. The only small issue was that our coffee pods were not consistently replaced. GALA & JAMAICAN NIGHT: Food and entertainment on both nights were great, but we prefer Jamaican night more than Gala. The food and entertainment on Jamaican night were great. We especially enjoyed the fashion show. The entertainment team does a great job with this special evening. RESTAURANTS: We ate at each restaurant at least once. The Bella Vista, which is Oriental food now was good, but we liked that restaurant better when it was a resort casual Jamaican restaurant a few years ago. The food and service were good, but we just prefer the way it used to be. Cassanova was great as usual. We really enjoy the fine dining aspect of this restaurant. Our server was great with the presentation and service, and the food was outstanding. We dined at Palazzina for dinner twice and we enjoyed both visits. You do not need reservations for this restaurant. This is also the venue for breakfast. The breakfast buffet is outstanding along with great service. We used the app for reservations which was a little confusing at first be we quickly figured it out and it was efficient. SPA: My wife and I enjoyed a 60-minute couple's massage. I got a deep tissue massage, and it may have been the best massage I have every received. These ladies provide a great relaxing atmosphere in the perfect setting. My wife also got a pedicure, and she was very pleased BARS: If there was any area at this resort that could use a little improvement it would be this. Too often this trip they would be out of ingredients to make drinks, whether it be bananas, mint or something else. It seemed to occur more often this trip than our previous five trips. One day it took quite a while to get the Red Stripe keg changed out at lunch time. We spent most of our bar time at the SSB bar and they had the same issues with ingredients and ran out of ice at various times throughout the day. ENTERTAINMENT: Jamaican Night and Gala Night were organized great. The entertainment team work hard putting this together and it did not disappoint. There are many different parts to these evenings, and the team goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is entertained. We really enjoyed pool trivia multiple times each day. CHECK OUT: We were scheduled to leave the resort at 8:30 AM so our bags needed to be outside of our room by 7:30 AM. Checkout was easy and only took 5 minutes to complete. DEPARTURE RIDE: The ride back took about 2 1/2 hours, which is a little longer than normal. The police were working several accidents which slowed travel. OVERALL THOUGHTS: We were somewhat concerned with the change in leadership with Pierre retiring would affect this resort in a negative way. But we were pleasantly surprised that this was not the case. Service, food, entertainment and grounds were all outstanding. We met many new friends this trip that we hope to see again in the future. We highly recommend CSS and will continue to return to our "home away from home". Read less

We have now been twice to the resort and give it almost 5 stars 🌟 and is a perfect relaxing vacation and would highly recommend to anyone to experience, will detail all the great points below, but to start a few bits that let the down. The website states this an adults ONLY and couples ONLY resort on both visits we have seen families there with children (they may be over 18) but still parents with children and single people with friends. When taking to management they say this is not the case but after speaking to these guests it certainly is and families and non-couples and single people visit. When you check in no ID is requested for proof of age and a head count is not done to sure everyone attending is in a two. One comment for a manager is that they can not discriminate…..so as long as a room is booked brothers/sisters/aunts/uncles etc can go as the management says this defines a ‘couple’ so except families to be there even though the company sells it self as adults only and couples and no checks are done on single guests. That aside the families and single people that we have seen there were no issues, but if you go on a adults only/couples resort you don’t expect to see families and children there as no checks are done at booking in on ages etc. The resort is amazing and the still are pretty much faultless is testimony that so many staff have worked there for managers years and a big percentage of guests are returnees. There are just so many good things say about the resort. There are little bits that do need a little work but you will get that anywhere. A recommendation would be for the resort to get another one or two restaurants to get more variety, buy the land between the main beach and sunset beach to make the resort even bigger and more spectacular. The sunset beach and pool side is a little tired and needs a good freshen up to the standards of the rest of the resort and maybe dredge the beach as very stony going into the sea which puts people off even if you are wearing water shoes, the main beach is stunning 😍 The entirety of the resort is spectacular and is so relaxing if that is what you want (more could be done with the area around the pond) as found do so much. The staff are all amazing did not find one could complain about and they are all passionate about their jobs and delivering a good service (tipping NOT allowed) a special mention to the three entertainment team staff they make the resort and are great with the guests and are excellent to anyone’s needs. If you want a relaxing vacation/honeymoon and want to be left alone is fine, if you want to be doing activities each day, water sports, trips they can cater to this at no extra costs. Not much is said about the sunset beach/ Au Natural, if this is something you consider or like, I hear is very relaxed and friendly and there are strict guidelines in place to ensure everyone’s safry and comfort from no cameras/phones and any inappropriate behaviour between couples or others guests is not tolerated as they want guests to feel comfortable whilst there. If you are looking for a relaxing break with a partner this is the place. The costings are on the higher side BUT…. Rooms amazing FREE mini bar - replaced every day Amazing quality food Great drinks Stunning grounds Amazing staff FREE water sports Other guests very friendly…..this we don’t mind paying a premium cost for the resort. If they can address a few of the little issues we have found and other guests this could be a World winning resort, just need to action the feedback they are given. We will be back next year. Tips: bring long pants for Casanova reservations; check politics at the door; keep your hands to your own party people! Read less

One of the best all inclusive resorts I have ever been to. Food is simply outstanding, private beach lovely and clean, rooms the same and happy staff which only adds to the appeal. Already rebooked for next year.
