The hotel

Whilst staying at Jamaica Inn, Winston Churchill swore the light was the best in the world for his watercolours. Jamaica Inn is one of the loveliest small luxury hotels in Jamaica. Now over 60 years old, it retains a gracious air of colonial Jamaica and attracts individuals and couples (some famous), who return on a regular basis. There is a wonderful, natural tranquility about this hotel and it has a lovely location on a private 700 ft white sand beach. Dining is on an outdoor terrace that adjoins the bar terrace. A more romantic setting is hard to imagine, and in keeping with the ‘Noel Coward’ lifestyle, there is a live band most nights. There is a cocktail terrace with a magnificent view and in step with its elegant classic approach, there is a dress code after dark. Bordered by an exquisite 700 ft-long beach, the hotel is in Ocho Rios on the tranquil North Coast of the island. All guest suites face the beach and the turquoise water. Each suite has a verandah or a balustraded balcony and many guests opt to leave the air-conditioning off and allow the sea breeze instead to do the work.

I have had the absolute BEST time at Jamaica Inn and it's all because of the amazing staff that made it their mission to take care of us and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I know I won't be able to mention all the names, but at the beach bar, Asha, William, George, and Damian took the best care of us. At breakfast Ocar, Chevaneae, and Fabian started each day off right. And Ms. Donna who handled our booking set the tone for the perfect vacation. At every stage we felt pampered and welcomed. Thank you to the entire team at Jamaica Inn! Read less

⸻ 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Jamaica Inn – Perfection Made Personal Jamaica Inn is a real dream, but what makes it unforgettable are the incredible people who bring it to life..... All the staff were simply delightful. Asha is nothing short of world-class. She radiates professionalism and warmth in equal measure, and it’s clear her experience runs deep. She has that rare gift of making you feel like the only guest in the hotel whilst anticipating needs before you even realise them yourself. Her personality shone every single day, and she left a lasting impression that defines true hospitality at its very best. Patrick is simply part of the soul of Jamaica Inn. The outdoor bar wouldn’t be the same without him, he’s the heartbeat of the place. His humour, charm, and effortless way of putting everyone at ease make every afternoon and sparkle. Guests gather around him like old friends, and you can’t imagine the Jamaican Inn without his presence. Williams is pure joy wrapped up in a smile. A cheeky ray of sunshine who lights up every moment, he has a gift for making you feel welcome and relaxed with his energy and kindness. His infectious positivity made each day brighter and reminded us that this is what a true holiday should feel like. The setting is beautiful, but it’s these three remarkable people who turn Jamaica Inn into something far more special than just a hotel. We, like so many before us, can’t wait to return. David and I had the BEST time and it goes without saying that we will soon be back! Thanks for making our stay so special. X Read less

We stayed at Jamaica Inn, Ocho Rios about a month ago and I can’t believe I waited this long to write this review, because it truly deserves to be shouted from the rooftops. From the moment we arrived, the service was flawless, but three incredible people turned our holiday from wonderful into unforgettable: Asha, Patrick, and Williams. They didn’t just look after us.......they made us feel like family. Every day was filled with fun, laughter, and the kind of genuine warmth you can’t find in other 5 star resorts. They anticipated what we needed before we even asked, always with a smile and a joke, and nothing was ever too much trouble. We had so much fun with them that leaving felt like saying goodbye to old friends. They were the heartbeat of our stay, and the memories we made with them are what will draw us back again and again. It’s no surprise that while we were there, we met so many guests who were returning for their second, third, or even 25th visit! And now we’ll be joining that club too — once you’ve experienced Jamaica Inn (and the magic of people like Asha, Patrick, and Williams), nowhere else will ever compare. Thank you for giving us not just a holiday, but an experience we’ll treasure forever. We can’t wait to come back and you guys are the BEST. Read less

My wife and I have been coming to this uniquely special place for over 20 years. This last, was a wonderful, relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable 9 days vacation experience. Jamaica Inn is absolutely the best in the Caribbean at making one feel at home and as part of a special family. The beach is incredible! The staff is excellent as many reviewers here attest. For special mention are: Patrice, Alvin, Ashlene, Tyrique and Sadie. However, they are all special, well-trained staff. Food is excellent: If you love fish, there is no better chef in all of JA. For all they offer and deliver, it is value for every dollar spent. Read less
