Monarch Oceanfront Butler Suites are located in the West Wing and feature a dining space and marble-laden bathroom.

Royal Monarch Oceanfront Butler Suites are located in the West Wing, and are larger open-partition plan rooms, separating the living space and the bedroom. Each room has a marble bath tub.

Grand Duke Oceanfront Butler Suites are larger suites and are located in the East Wing. These rooms are open-partition plan rooms, featuring bathroom with Roman soaking tub and separate walk-in shower.

Grand Duchess Oceanfront Verandah Butler Suites are located in the West Wing and feature a large, spectacular verandah overlooking the ocean. The bathroom features Roman soaking tub and separate walk-in shower.

Royal Oceanfront One Bedroom Butler Suites overlook the resort's East Beach. These suites feature a luxurious marble bathroom with large Roman tub and separate walk-in shower.

Imperial Oceanfront One Bedroom Butler Suites are located atop the resort's beachfront West Wing. These suites feature two walkout balconies, a separate living area, and bathroom with walk-in shower and Roman soaking tub.

Governor General Oceanfront One-Bedroom Butler Suites are located on the top floor of the beachfront West Wing. These suites feature a spacious living and dining area, separate from the grand master bedroom, bathroom with a walk-in shower and Roman soaking tub, and two balconies.

Villa Plantana is a unique expansive villa comprising of 1-, 2- or 3-bedrooms complete with its own swimming pool. We have been to this property several times and keep returning because of the wonderful experience we encounter each time we are here. From Omar, the GM and his management team, to the beautiful grounds, to the exceptional quality of food from Chef Martin, to the wonderful customer service, from the bars and restaurants, to the spa and water sports…this property is phenomenal! It is situated on a beautiful beach with warm water and sunshine! You cannot go wrong with a couples getaway here! Highly recommend Sandals Royal Plantation above all of the other Sandals properties. Others in the gift shop that were especially nice Doneil, Karen, and Ashley. And our amazing butler Adrian. Just unbelievable what you do on a daily basis to make, not just our stay great, but everyone you come in contact with. Our thanks will never be enough. Anthony, Dulwainey, Delgardo, and Richard also helped out and were generous to lend their time for a day or so while also tending to their own clients. Thanks to all the amazing wait staff who go about their business with a smile on their face and a greeting to put a smile on yours. I cant name them all, but the ones we mostly encountered on this trip were Wilton, Stefnie, Sherika Tianna, Wayne, Delmarco, Romaine, Delmar. A big shout out to Chevon and Hushane who were at almost all of our dinners. You guys rock and do a fantastic job. The service is so personalized. Every encounter we made with the employees was awesome, from grounds keepers to the GM. The GM is Omar, and he is amazing. First of all to have interaction with the GM of a vacation resort is rare to non existent. Omar was a part of our every day experience. He remembers and greets you by name! He greeted us upon arrival, handed out popsicles at the beach. "Boozy or non Boozy". He would even stop by the restaurants and say hi, and ask if there was anything we needed. This is an all Butler resort. Our butlers were Andre and Johovan. They were great! Whatever you needed and whenever you needed it. Everyone said hi to you as you passed, The food was delicious! Choices are limited, due to the size of the resort. Only 75 or so rooms, but Sandals Ochi is right next door and is only a short 5 minute shuttle ride away. Rooms are what I would call old world. Dark solid wood furnishings. Some my call it out dated, I would not say that as the rooms are very clean and maintained. There are renovations underway in some of the rooms. We stayed in the Imperial Oceanfront one bedroom(All rooms are oceanfront). We liked it so much that we decided to book another trip to this resort. We are Sandals select members, so you get additional loyalty discounts when booked on location. A small deposit is all that is needed. Read less

When we were looking for honeymoon destinations, we thought that Jamaica would be great for the beach and excursions, and we also thought Sandals would guarantee us a good quality resort. We sadly left Royal Plantation a couple of weeks ago, and wish we could have stayed! It is an all butler resort, so everyone is treated to the same exceptional service. You also get to visit the other local resorts, Dunns River and Ochi for a great variety of evening food and entertainment. We stayed for two weeks, and when people have asked what it was like, to summarise: beautiful place with beautiful people. The room and resort has a lovely old style about it, that feels homely and luxurious in comparison to the more modern resorts. It only had 70 rooms, which meant there was plenty of space on one of the private beaches or by the pool. It never felt busy or crowded, so it was a great escape. Most people were middle aged and older, but there were a few young couples like us on their honeymoon and because we could access the other resorts (which are younger) we had plenty to do and were able to go out drinking etc. we didn’t realise until later on in the two weeks but the wobbly peacock pub actually becomes a bar half the nights where you can dance etc. at the other resorts you have the rum club and the rabbit hole (which were awesome!) Our butlers were Robert and Anthony- they both have a heart of gold and are so lovely to get to know. They made our honeymoon special at every opportunity, thank you so much! We also wanted to mention some other amazing people that we met, that made our stay extra special: Vanya and David at breakfast- so funny and warm, we really enjoyed getting to know you. The beach butlers were awesome and remembered what we ordered- very attentive and had lovely chats with you. I also have to mention Lorna and the girls in the gift shop- the store didn’t have my size in water shoes and they arranged for them to be ordered in for me… Despite me encouraging them to take a dip in the fountain to cool off lol. You were all so friendly, and warm and welcoming and made our holiday. Royal Plantation is so special, because it is filled with amazing people. Usually towards the end of a two week holiday, you’re ready to go home and we were not. It felt like being at home. The food was great, especially the jerk chicken! Our maid Morena, kept our room beautiful and clean for us. The whole resort was beautiful and very special- when we left, Omar (general manager) and the team sang to us, which was a lovely surprise. To summarise, just book here- you don’t need to think or worry about anything, they will look after you and you will not regret it. Thank you so much everyone, and especially Anthony and Robert.
