We spent 14 nights at TRS Yucatan from the 3rd May 2025. It was my husbands 50th while we were there so we wanted the holiday to be a bit more special than our usual breaks so we opted for the Private Pool Garden view room, I booked the room directly through Palladium during one of their sales. We arrived pretty late at 9pm, after being in transit for about 18 hours, check in was really smooth and we were in our room before 9.30pm, we didn’t eat on the first night as we had been very well fed on the plane! The room was just as I expected it to be from the pictures, we had no issues with dampness through the holiday at all and the air conditioning worked really well. We used our private pool on a daily basis in the afternoon, it was a perfect temperature and got the afternoon sun. We had quite a few visitors to our pool, we had a resident iguana and 2 agoutis visited daily, with a guest appearance from a Coati and Racoon on a couple of occasions! The grounds of the hotel are amazing and I loved the fact that there is something for everyone across the whole complex, quiet pools, busy pools, pool bars etc, we settled ourselves at the La Terreza pool pretty much everyday as we really just wanted a relaxing holiday, plus one of the reasons for picking this hotel was the natural environment around it, La Terezza had so many different types of birds it was like being in an aviary with no roof! Nature wise we saw so much! Quick list bird wise of some of the more unusual- Chachalaka, Yellow Lored Amazon, Hummingbird, Oriole, Woodpeckers, Osprey, various herons, Mockingbird and the beautiful Yucatan Jays. The swallowtail butterflies were also plentiful and stunning and we loved bat spotting on our nightly walk back to the room, the corners near El Gaucho and the La Terreza pool they fly round you so quietly and quickly most people don’t even notice. We found the food really good, we always had breakfast at Helios and we alternated between Helios and Capricho for lunch, I really liked the A la Carte/buffet combo as it gave so much extra choice. Evening meals we used all the TRS restaurants and also Portofino and Chang Thai outside TRS, we enjoyed all of these and liked the buffet style starters at Portofino and Chang Thai. The real stand out for us at TRS was the staff, with the exception of a couple of small hiccups which I think may be due to the language barrier, we had exceptional service from everyone, including outside the TRS side. A few I would like to call out Alondra, Sheryln, Fany and Jeovany at Helios for breakfast and lunch (thank you for making us smile everyday), Susana our main butler who was amazing and like a friend, Jose and Jesus at the La Terezza bar (and the lady who was there our first week but I don’t have her name) who had our next drinks ready before we put the glass down!, Daniel at Capricho for lunch, couldn’t fault him at all and was such a lovely person and Ramino at El Gaucho who sorted me out fish options as I’m pescatarian. Now I need to sort out a return visit, yes I’m hooked! Read less

Enjoyed this hotel stay as a gift from the best children God could bless me with having. I needed this trip to relax after 25 years of non-stop working. This hotel made it possible!

Really must mention our wonderful butlers, Belen, Itzel and Gabriel. All were so professional and nothing was too much trouble for them, what a wonderful service for the guests to ensure a restful, stress free holiday. I am particularly grateful to Belen who was exceptional. All the staff were a credit to the hotel, hard working, polite and a pleasure to chat to throughout our stay. Would certainly return and definitely recommend to others. Read less

Our stay here for our honeymoon was nothing short of amazing! Our suite was beautiful, clean and modern and with lovely extras such as gorgeous l'occitaine products. The whirlpool bath on the balcony was a nice touch. Our butlers Lassandra and Ricardo were the best!! Lassandra in particular went out of her way to help us on a number of occasions. An absolutely brilliant butler, kind, helpful, proactive but also a genuinely beautiful human. Both were in touch regularly and helped us with anything we needed and made our honeymoon nothing short of perfect! Another shout out to Luis, who did our turn down service on an evening. As my husband doesn't drink alcohol he kept us well stacked with coffees and chocolates! All of the restaurants were amazing. Our absolute favourite has to be helios. Everything we ate here was delicious but I'd definitely recommend lobster, steaks and cocunut shrimp! La Boheme, El Gaucho were also up there in our favourites. Poolwise, our villa was really close to La Terraza so we spent a lot of time there. The vibe there is pretty calm and relaxing. We also loved the pool at the spa and the secret pool (very similar to La Terraza). If you're visiting here definitely take the opportunity to wake early at least once or twice and head to the Infinity Pool or beach to watch the sunrise.....beautiful! Overall our entire stay was incredible. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, the pools and spa and walks were amazing. We will definitely be coming back in the future! Missing it already! Read less
