We had a lovely stay overall. The private beach is truly stunning and the entire resort area is beautiful and relaxing. The service was excellent, especially thanks to Joe, the manager, who went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. After noticing that we felt a bit disappointed with a few issues early in our stay, he arranged a complimentary lunch for us at a fantastic restaurant near the resort, including a taxi there and back. The meal was excellent—one of the best we had in Thailand—and we truly appreciated the gesture. It made a very positive difference to our experience.
However, we did feel that the value did not fully match the price. We purchased a half-board package, but drinks were not included at dinner—not even a bottle of water, which is otherwise provided in the room. The restaurant prices were extremely high, which is frustrating given that there are no nearby alternatives. Unfortunately, the food quality did not justify the cost, and we found the Japanese restaurant to be the only one that felt up to the expected standard.
One evening, there was a special buffet dinner, but even though we had already paid for dinner as part of our package, we were asked to pay a significant additional amount if we wanted to join. This resulted in two restaurants being fully booked, and we almost ended up without a viable dining option. We eventually ate at the Thai restaurant, which was below average in quality.
We also felt that the resort could offer more activities—especially for couples. After a short time, it can become a bit monotonous. Offering complimentary kayaks, snorkeling gear, or additional daily activities would improve the experience. Most of the activities available seemed geared primarily toward families with children rather than honeymooning couples.
Overall, the resort has great potential, beautiful surroundings, and excellent staff—but the dining value and lack of complimentary activities are areas that could be improved to better match the premium pricing.
