The restaurant is amazing and the team is so lovely and caring, everything we asked we got immediately and the food is amazing. We visit two out of our four night in the hotel and everything went so great joyfully. Really recommend waiters MIND and WAKIM

“A wonderful and memorable stay overall”

1. Location and surroundings - Beautiful, picturesque and serene; has left a lasting impression 2. Staff - very friendly and helpful; several made it a point to remember our names. Special mention should be made of Belle and Film at the Pakarang restaurant. And also of Chef Chris and Toby. 3. Food - Thai food in particular was excellent; breakfast spread was very good 4. Activities - Spa (Anantara signature massage) was amazing; Thai food cooking lesson with Chef Chris was very enjoyable and memorable, especially for someone like me who has minimal cooking experience; Island hopping on long tail boat with Toby was a wonderful experience 2 issues could have been better: 1. For our stay, we took the Island Discovery Retreat. This included one complimentary activity per day. However, on our arrival, we were told that none of the activity options were available for the first 2 days. This was very disappointing. For instance, we were told that the spa was full for the evening when we arrived. It was only after we expressed our unhappiness that a slot was somehow made available. The spa massage itself was amazing but what was surprising was that the spa complex itself was empty and we were wondering why we were told it was full in the first place. The service recovery and experience would have been much better if a more experienced staff member had taken over from the junior staff member who was out of her depth. 2. The food was generally good and impressive. For example the wagyu beef salad and poached banana dessert in the pakarang resturant were excellent. But there were notable misses. For example the chawanmushi at breakfast in the Beach restaurant was extremely hard and the poached egg was not properly done. Nevertheless the overall experience was very good, and we would be happy to recommend the resort to our friends and go back for another stay.
