The hotel

The Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket occupies a stunning location, overlooking a secluded part of Karon Beach. After booked room 11 days, I found room’s rate was drop more than ten percent! Even though I early booked with member non refundable rates-it is higher than standard full refund rates at present, booking room lately may be better. “ Greetings from Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket. Thank you for your interest to spend your time with us. Please allow me to explain that all bookings and room availability in each room type are subject to occupancy on your booking date. The room avalability is link direct to hotel website. Once the Ocean View room is fully booked, it will not show up in hotel website. However, when we have any cancellations or amendments from other guests or travel agents, the availability will be back to show up in hotel website for guest to book. We experienced with world situation of war between India and Pakistan that some of our bookings have requested to cancel or amend to the end of this year. As a result, our Ocean View Room is back and available again in hotel website without any marketing tricks or hide somthing to our customers. As per booking condition is non refundable and non of change are allowed, in this case we could offer to modify your booking to Deluxe Ocean View at 6,122.75 THB/night for room and breakfast only as a special case. The over amount you paid at 1,830.83 THB will keep as a credit to deduct with other expenses you may have during stay.” Above message was from FO manager (Tony) Worsening when reservation manager (Pang) told me that I have to claim to Centara call center in Bangkok by myself. I understand everything that is policy from HQ that they cannot reimburse anything that I already paid. But at least before I will checked in in end of May2025- I just hope someone listen to my thinking just listen, I don’t want to fight with any hotel’ s crew. Lovely stay , hotel is positioned just right I feel. Not too close to the town and just around 10 mins either by tuk tuk or taxi to patong on a good day. Bit hilly so may not be good for people with mobility issues. Lots of steps to our room which was in block 5 . The room is so spacious and cleaned daily on request. Everyone is only to happy to help . Everyone is polite and friendly. The adult pool was serene and was a nice sanctuary away from the families with younger children . We stayed bed and breakfast. Lots of choice and everything you could want . Reception staff are always happy to help and we even got an upgrade on arrival .Hotel is Right on the beach , there are plenty of restaurants further down the road and some shops . I particularly like the famous 7/11 , so cheap and very handy . Lovely experience of Thailand so far .. Read less
