The Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket occupies a stunning location, overlooking a secluded part of Karon Beach. This place did not disappoint. We stayed in a plunge pool room, and it was amazing. The room, the staff the included breakfast was all great. The pool's, gardens and surrounding areas were all spotless and well maintained. The beach beautiful as it is cleaned daily by the hotel, it was private with no one selling anything.

My recent stay at Centara Grand Beach Hotel was very disappointing. Despite booking in advance, I was asked to pay more than late bookings, which was confusing and unfair. Communication between the Front Office, F&B, and HQ was poor, and I didn’t receive the "Suite Heaven" promotion I booked online. I was told to contact HQ directly, which was inconvenient and didn’t resolve problems that I didn’t get hotel credit-that fraund. Check-out took an hour, and they couldn’t find my credit booster payment made at check-in. The check-in process was unorganized—no directions to the room, you can’t leave before they checked completely, and I had to carry my luggage myself. The room was outdated and dirty, with broken private pool flooring and sharp surfaces in the main pool area. Breakfast was below standard, and parking was limited. Additionally, my father slipped in the Cove restaurant without any staff assistance. The only bright spot was Karon Beach, which was beautiful. Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay and hope the hotel takes steps to improve. Read less
