Went to this Hotel Mid March for 6 nights, booked through Virgin Holidays cost with flights around £3,200. This included a car but not resort tax ($60 a day Resort and Valet parking $58 a day all plus tax ) total including parking and Tax charges for the 6 nights $780. Total for the trip a little under £4,000.
Miami Beach is expensive. Location of Hotel was good, right on the beach, although other than more Hotels, had no restaurants or bars within walking distance. When you arrive the valet takes your car and a staff member takes your baggage, you then walk in to the foyer to check in. It looks elegant and could be mistaken for a 5 star Hotel. Check in is efficient. We had a partial ocean view room (which is a side view room that does ,if you turn your head, give you a view of the Ocean). In the lobby there is a bar , an ice cream parlour/snack and coffee bar, and just round the side the Hotel restaurant. Right next to the restaurant is a walkout to the pool area. A bar 2 small swimming pools (both were very warm) and 2 hot tubs and also a walkout to your own private Hotel beach area with Sun-beds and Sunshades. All very nice and when we were there very busy. Now the room we were on the 14 th Floor(there are 20 in all, note 4 lifts to get you there). Lovely room, a lounge with tv,a separate toilet and shower room, then go a little further into the room there is another bathroom with sink, toilet, bath/shower and various free toiletries. In the room there is a fridge stocked up with various drinks and a coffee machine. Note the drinks are extra and price wise a medium sized bottle of Evian Water was around $8 + tax. (Tax is around7%) . Next is the bed , which is huge and extremely comfortable with 4 pillows. You have plenty of cupboard space for your clothes also a safe inside the wardrobe, but the clothes rail is pretty high up, so may cause a problem if you are around 5ft tall. Dressing table with 4 draws for your other clothes. Two dummy draws under the wardrobes (not sure why they are dummy, but there is a label informing you of this). 2 bedside lights each side of the bed with chargers built in, another tv facing the bed. Then there is the balcony with table and 2 chairs. No outside light for sitting in the evening, apparently a bye law permits the use of outside balcony lights at night. All in all the room was spacious and comfortable. A few faults. The first being the bathroom door was a slide door , and was hard to open and had no handle. The bath spout was very loose. The pipes for the sinks were all exposed and the WiFi was not great, I was unable to make or receive WhatsApp calls from the room using the Hotel WiFi. Also note not many tv channels available to watch. Used restaurant twice food ok , breakfast not great. Expensive ($28 Burger)and would avoid if possible. They seem a little slapdash. Ordered toast with breakfast only one side toasted, was told machine not working properly(they only had to turn bread around to cook both sides). Ordered a burger for lunch asked to only have basic burger told what to leave off, my instructions ignored, had to get another burger, both meals were compd but should have got it right first time.
Overall Hotel was good, if back in Miami Beach would definitely stay there again, but would avoid the restaurant. I always check these places out before I go use, YouTube , there is a current video showing hotel in detail “Howie’s Holiday Travel Review’s “ maybe take a look for a more in depth look at what it is like. Personally overall would come back and i can recommend this Hotel.
