We got a new room but they did not offer any compensation for our displacement or dealing with the bugs. The next morning we asked to be compensated and were told by the manager he would comp our bar bill from the night before. Wouldn’t stay here again with the bug situation. Plus the food and mixed drinks were not good. The hotel needs a refresh. Read less

This is a typical Hilton: mediocre rooms, mediocre food, mediocre service, way overpriced. Beyond that, they did not honor the reservation and would not let us check in until we paid them an extra $40. I would not stay here again. There are many other hotels closer to Miami airport that provide the same or better service at lower prices.

Shuttle back to airport - not so good: Driver on his phone and using his legs to steer while in busy traffic. Hotel is beat up in so many ways. We arrived to our room at 10:00 pm with toilet leaking with water across bathroom floor into bedroom carpets. Front desk was hard to work with. Guy on phone said he was the manager and he made the decisions. Could not give us a dry room. At same time while in lobby, heard female stating she was manager when another couple were trying to change rooms. Both of us experienced terrible rooms , but “managers” not willing to move our rooms despite almost $300 daily rate. Eventually engineer fixed leak. Front desk begrudgingly reduced nightly rate by $100 for the time, lost sleep and wet carpet . Dinner was a disaster. Appetizers were cold - sent them back. Entrees took 50 minutes and were cold. Sent them back. Then - bartenders tipped themselves 20% on my credit card for their “outstanding” service. We are regular Hilton Honors members. This hotel and restaurant are no where near the usual Hilton standards. Next time Hyatt… Read less

Overall, the hotel and room look in need of a significant upgrade and rehab. BUT the food in the Cove bar was horrid. Shrimp ceviche was nothing more than shrimp with cocktail or some type of red sauce, no semblance to ceviche. The calamari was rubbery and I am being kind here. The breakfast yogurt and fruit was really good however and a significant bowl to consume. I have wavered to assign either a 2 or 3 star. I am opting for 3 because the stay was ok but definitely improvements needed. I did report upon departure that the hair blower filter was completely full of lint and needed cleaning or replacement and that our hotel door did not close automatically, a safety issue. Read less
