“Gorgeous Hotel”

Stayed in a junior suite ocean view following a cruise and it made the heartbreak of leaving the cruise bearable! Hotel is stunning! Room was huge, beds so comfortable, massive balcony with amazing views. Pool areas were clean, comfortable, loads of loungers and never crowded despite it being a weekend. Whirlpools were a really nice touch. Servers in the bar and around the pool were so lovely … knew our name after the first order and chatted every time we ordered drinks or they passed by. They had a great system going so never waited long for anything we offered. Son and hubby had chicken tenders and pizzas etc from the bar and said they were great. Ate in the restaurant for lunch which was fab, lovely views, great staff and nice food and drinks. Beach area was gorgeous however this is our only gripe and what stopped me giving 5 stars and possibly from returning on our next cruise. We had a room for two adults and a teenager and noticed on the booking form it stated two beach chairs were provided so emailed the hotel a month or so before arriving to ask if a beach chair would be available for our son and advised this would not be a problem. On check in only given two passes for chairs and when questioned this the woman was quite rude and just kept stating it’s two per room as that is what the resort fee covers and if I wanted one more pass we would have to pay the resort fee again … not even just a small supplement. I went back later that day once we’d checked in and settled and showed another person at the front desk the email clearly stating I was told the third chair would be available but she was exactly the same stating we would need to pay another $90 if we wanted a chair for our son. So basically the two we had were pointless without paying the extra as no way were we going to the beach with two chairs between three of us. We debated paying it but not even knowing if we’d want to spend time at the beach or pool we didn’t bother. We went for a couple of walks on the beach throughout the two days we were there and were SO many available chairs in the hotels section it would have been nice to have the option to move between the two areas of the hotel. Just seemed so silly and annoying to not provide this and leave a slightly sour impression

Beware if you are booking on the hotel website! The hotel is NOT good enough to deal with their website booking tricks - and you will be charged hundreds of dollars. Had to book this hotel for a group trip. I booked it through the hotels website, and unfortunately I found out that you can save a lot of money booking on a third party site like this. However, booking it through the website it fools you by saying "this price includes all fees and taxes" and the total for two nights on the website said $800. I get the email receipt that shows the $800 total and below that is a bunch of picture links for things to do at and around the hotel... below that is small print saying "* Please note that daily resort fee and taxes (14%) are not applied to Daily Rate or Total Room Cost and will be charged upon arrival, unless you fully prepaid for your reservation." No where on the booking portion of their own website gives the option to FULLY PREPAY! Now I get a receipt that shows all the fees and taxes that were supposedly in the price of the website. The pools are old - if there is a convention going and they use the hall way you'll have to walk through all these people to get to the elevators. The service at the hotel lobby bar is SLOW and the drinks and food are meh!

Diego R in reservations was amazing and super helpful to me in arranging a complex reservation and then even went further beyond my expectations when he remembered I was trying to re create our anniversary and made sure our reservation requested the same room we had the first time we stayed. Diego R is fantastic and because of our interaction I can tell our stay will be amazing!
