The attention to detail, the elegance of the room, and the overall atmosphere were all outstanding. I can’t even describe how happy and grateful I am. DO NOT STAY HERE. Predatory, Dishonest, and Completely Unprofessional I booked a 5-night stay at Nobu Hotel Miami Beach through Expedia from July 18 to 23 for my anniversary trip. I was so excited… until this hotel ruined everything just two days before check-in. I chose the “Pay at Property” option on Expedia, which means exactly that. NOWHERE did it say they would charge a deposit in advance. But today, without warning, I received a cancellation notice. No phone call. No email. No attempt to resolve anything. Just canceled. When I called the hotel in confusion, I was told they “tried” to charge my card for a one-night deposit and when it didn’t go through, they canceled my reservation with ZERO communication. Just like that. I offered to update my card, but they refused to reinstate my original booking and instead said I’d have to rebook directly with them for more than DOUBLE the rate I originally paid. This is predatory behavior, plain and simple. They know it’s last minute. They know it’s high season. And they use that to squeeze desperate travelers. I later saw reviews from others saying the same thing happened to them. So this isn’t an accident. It’s a shady pattern. The man I spoke with was rude, cold, and couldn’t have cared less about the inconvenience they caused. If this is how they treat guests before they even arrive, I can only imagine how awful the service is once you’re actually there, which explains the many other negative reviews. I’ve since booked elsewhere and will never give Nobu a dime. Do NOT book this hotel. Not through Expedia. Not directly. Not at all. There are far better hotels in Miami that respect their guests and operate ethically. Nobu is not one of them. Read less
