“Post cruise stay”

Spent 3 nights at a Hotel Breakwater after a cruise. The hotel is a wonderful art deco building right at the heart of South Beach area close to all the restaurants and bars. Our room was very spacious with a super king comfy bed and large shower room. Lovely infinity pool with loungers and seating areas to relax in. Staff were very courteous and helpful with any queries we had, Would like to give a special thank you to Lily who helped us to organise our bus tour and our Everglades tour and was always there to answer any questions we had. Would definitely go back

Ideal location, central south beach plenty of bars and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff, both reception to housekeeping. Rooms and bathroom clean, roomy and efficient.
Some noise from the lively on site restaurant and bar. One evening very soft and barely heard but another the base did seem to reverberate. Didn’t keep us awake (very tired) and I think it was over by midnight.

We booked via Virgin, which is amazing given the shambolic rating this hotel has everywhere else.
It’s like a rundown s**hole in the middle of Ibiza. It stinks of cannabis everywhere and the hotel staff are amongst the rudest I’ve come across.
To cut a long story short, they didn’t have enough rooms for our booking which was evident from constant slow timing of checking us in, which given we’d been there for 2 hours was nothing short of a joke.
There were others in the same boat and multiple guests complaining about no warm water in there room.
Avoid this cesspit at all costs. If I could give it zero stars, I would!!!
