DO NOT BOOK this hotel if you enjoy sleep, we didn’t even last 12 hours in this hotel after turning up on our honeymoon trip before having to shell out even more money to move to a different, nicer, cleaner hotel just to be able to enjoy our Miami experience. This hotel is fine if you want a piss up and to barely sleep but otherwise it feels unclean and it’s wedged in the middle of nightclubs, the nightclub wasn’t even the main problem as our room was at the side of the kitchen where all we heard was plates rattling and staff talking at the top of their voices at 1AM! After going to reception in the morning and asking to be moved to a quieter room we was just told that was one of the “quiet” rooms and that any other room would be even louder! I dread to think how loud that would have been… the hotel is in need of a spruce up and some triple glazing 😵‍💫 ALMOST ruined our honeymoon if it wasn’t for us being able to quickly get checked into another hotel which was amazing! Still waiting to try to at least get some of our money back but I’m not being hopeful 🫤 Read less

I was really looking forward to my upcoming stay at Hotel Breakwater South Beach this July. I specifically chose this hotel because it caught my eye and matched my dream vacation plans perfectly. I was truly excited about finally staying there. Unfortunately, after my reservation was confirmed, the hotel unilaterally increased the price, allegedly due to a tax change. What’s worse, Booking.com refuses to take any responsibility for this, even though I made the reservation through their platform and never approved any changes. Because of this, I am now forced to rethink my entire trip. What was supposed to be a long-awaited dream vacation is falling apart before it even started. This situation has caused me stress and uncertainty when I should be feeling excitement and anticipation. I no longer trust Booking.com to protect my reservations or provide transparent service, and sadly, I will not be using them in the future. Read less

The hotel is well located, across the street from the beach walkboard in South Beach. The room is large, the bed is comfortable and they offer great amenities from Urban Jungle. We had breakfast included in our stay, but the front desk person failed in instructing us on how to get to the restaurant (served in a different hotel, 2-3 blocks away). Out of 3 nights, we only had the hotel breakfast in one morning. The hotel is not fully acessible for a reduced mobility person. We were put in the adjacent building, where the entrance is a parlor that sells excellent ice cream but closes at 10pm, leaving guests with a 3 steps stairs to access the main building. Potentially great hotel but in urgent need of remodelling to adjust to 2025 demands. Read less

This is definitely not a 4* hotel it’s more like a 2* and so overly priced for what it’s worth. The only good thing about this hotel was the location. Upon our arrival and to get to our room we had to cross the courtyard, through the bar, then through the ice cream shop to reach the lift to get to our room. We were put in the old building that used to be another hotel . I mean if I wanted to stay there I would have booked there!! Rooms had a damp feel to them, and also not cleaned properly. After staying here I woke up with 2 bites on my leg which had probably come from bed bugs . Although the staff very nice & polite there was no information given on where the pool etc was. We had paid in advance for breakfast but be known to us we had to walk 2 streets away to another hotel (Hotel Victor which I stayed at my last visit to Miami ) to get this . This was also not stated at time of booking. Had I known this at time of booking I would have cancelled this hotel. We were only booked in for 2 nights & that was enough if this had been longer I would have checked out and went elsewhere. I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
