One early evening me and my girlfriend was strolling down ocean drive as the betsy hotel caught our attention since i had this specific old school charme about it. The hostess of the restaurant her name is as YAMILA outfront saw the interest in our eyes and immediately initiated a friendly and genuine conversation with us giving us a short intro about the hotel and their restaurant LT STEAK & SEAFOOD . Sparking our interest and being huge SEAFOOD FANS we decided to have dinner there and she offered us a nice table outdoor with a nice view of ocean drive. We had some Tuna Tartare + Crispy Calamari as Appetizers and the SwordFish + ORA KING Salmon as Entrees. While sipping on some Blood Orange Mai Tai + Cherry Manhattan 🍒 Everything was soooo delicioooous. We loved the food , drinks and especially the whole vibe of the restaurant with the location being able to people watch the catwalk on ocean drive. This boutique hotel has an attractive curb appeal, chic decor and a lot of character. It offers some high quality amenities. The beach is located directly in front of the hotel, and beach service is provide. There are 2 pools, a library, a rooftop bar by the pool and another bar in the lobby. Art is tastefully displayed throughout the property, creating an elegant atmosphere. I arrived around 5pm and left early around 5am, and unfortunately, no luggage assistance was provided either time. That was disappointing, specially for a hotel in this category. Check-in was fairly quick. ( I arrived on a Monday afternoon). The hotel has 2 separate buildings and if you are staying in the building facing Collins, getting to your room could be very inconvenient, requiring you to drag your luggage, open doors, going up and down a couple of elevators, a bit of a maze. The food was a highlight. Love the bread they serve with dinner. The brazino and crab cake were excellent, the watermelon salad was ok, but not something I would order again. I really enjoyed dining outside and people watching. It elevated the dining experience, in my opinion. While a couple of bartenders were excellent and attentive, others left dirty glasses and bar rags in front of guests—definitely a low point. Happy hour from 3-6pm, was a nice bonus. The good bartenders will mention it, otherwise you just need to know it’s happening and ask for it. The spicy passion fruit margarita was a standout, depending on who prepared it. My room was a standard king suite with a balcony facing another building. The room was well-sized for one person, but it could feel tight for 2 with luggage. It was clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable overall. No smart TV, just regular cable. There are regular curtains, no blackout, which could bother light sensitive sleepers. The sound-proofing could be better. I could hear the elevator, people talking outside my window and street noise. But keeping the AC fan on the entire night, helped me sleep just fine. There is also a sound machine in the room. Bathroom had good water pressure and Malin + Goetz products, which was a nice touch. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the New World Conference Center, Gianni’s, Pura Vida and a variety of other restaurants and bars. Despite some service inconsistencies and minor room quirks, the atmosphere, location, food, and aesthetic of the hotel made for an enjoyable stay. I would stay here again, especially if they improved the service and made it a bit more guest-friendly at arrival and departure. Read less

Hotel was better than expected. Up to date and in a good location over all for Miami Beach. Staff was friendly, was attended by Yamila. Super kind and courteous! Was there for a short trip on business. Would recommend the spot for a quick trip.
