The hotel

W South Beach Hotel enjoys an ocean frontage the length of a football field! An ultra-modern establishment, this hotel is inspired by Miami Beach's exolution as the 'American Riviera'. The studios and suites are some of the largest in Miami Beach, and not only beautifully furnished but they all have balconies and enjoy uninterrupted views of the sea. W's pritine beach is perfect for a stroll at sundown, and well - then there's the food. Splendid Studio Suites are located on the 3rd floor, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Wonderful Studio Suites are located on the 4th and 5th floors, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults. 

Spectacular Studio Suites are located on floors 9-19, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults. 

Two Queen Studio Suites are available on a range of floors, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Fabulous Studio Suites feature an outdoor day bed on the oversized balcony with oceanfront views, and either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Fantastic Suites feature a separate living room, and bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults. 

Oasis Suites feature a media room with sofa bed, separate living room with full kitchen and washer/dryer, bathroom with separate bathtub and shower, additional powder room, and bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Mega Suites are located on the 6th floor and are bi-level suites featuring a private outdoor plunge pool, rooftop terrace, outdoor rain shower, separate lounge and kitchenette, and bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Marvelous Suites are oceanfront corner suites with separate living room and full kitchen with washer/dryer, full bathroom with separate bathtub and shower, and bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Sanctuary Suites are located on floors 7 and above, with 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and separate living room with kitchenette, sleeping maximum 5 adults.

Cool Corner Suites are two bedroom oceanfront corner suites, with separate living room and full kitchen with washer/dryer, full bathroom with separate shower and bathtub, and wraparound balcony, sleeping maximum 5 adults.

Sensational Suites feature multiple balconies, media room with sofa bed, full bathroom with separate shower and bathtub, separate living room and full kitchen with washer/dryer, and 2 bedrooms each with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 6 adults.

Poolside Bungalow Rooms are tri-level apartments overlooking the WET Deck and the Grove, featuring a rooftop terrace with plunge pool and outdoor shower, enclosed garden, living room and kitchenette, 2 bathrooms, and 2 bedrooms, sleeping maximum 5 adults.

WOW Oceanfront Suites feature a spacious living room and full kitchen with washer/dryer, wraparound balcony, 2.5 bathrooms, and 2 bedrooms, sleeping maximum 5 adults. 

Mr Chow (Beijing cuisine; dinner only). The Grove (open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; serving New American classics). WET® Bar and Grille (poolside lounge and bar serving signature cocktails and bites throughout the day). Living Room Bar (lobby bar).

I had the best time at the beach the hostess jasmin was super sweet. Jeffery ,Jordan and Victor were amazing very attentive. The amenities were super delicious, we had frozen grapes. We got a day bed and had such a great time. Definitely coming back soon

Gio at the beach is the best awsome got us right. her got us really nice and he moved our chairs so that they w ok I’ll be really good. He always helped when needed and came around often. He was always there in the morning and afternoon and was always ready to do what we needed to do

The room I booked, a splendid studio with a partial sea view as shown in the photos, did not match the reality. Although spacious and comfortable, it faced directly onto a parking lot. Being on a low floor meant there was no privacy, and I had to keep the curtains closed the entire time. When I raised the issue with the hotel, they blamed the booking platform for the discrepancy. Despite my concerns, they refused to relocate me, stating there were no other rooms available unless I upgraded to a suite at an extra cost of $1000 per night. Since I stayed for four days, I believe they could have at least offered a different room for one or two nights. Additionally, the beach facilities were disappointing in terms of service. The staff seemed slow and unorganized, and I overheard several other guests expressing frustration about the same issue. Read less

Booked another stay at W SouthBeach this year and the hotel delivered once again - although under tremendous pressure. We booked a few days not realizing it was Passover - the hotel was at absolute max capacity which came with some hiccups. Think fully committed plus families jam packing the rooms with more bodies than normal. As mentioned in the past the hotel is a great mix of location, amenities, size & price. After a challenging front desk check-in experience - the staff handled the crowds very well and did the best they could considering. Mr. David at the pool took great care of our family - even when towels ran out for a few hours. The real standout, however, was Priscilla P - once again. When we decided for the second time this year to stay longer Priscilla came thru - not only securing us a room but also making the room change as seamless as possible. Would also like to mention Ashley K who helped us recover from a very challenging check-in - she was kind, empathetic and friendly - successfully getting our trip back on track. Food is still great for hotel/poolside food - and if in budget opt for a suite with kitchen - makes for a great midday break with kids. Read less

The W South Beach hotel would certainly be a must-stay with its location, spacious rooms and exemplary pool and beach area, but it is the inviting and friendly staff that puts them above any US hotel we have been to - ever!
