A brand new hotel within the Grove Resort complex, The Terraces offer the perfect balance between fun and relaxation. A smaller, modern complex (with it's separate check-in for ease), this brings a chilled atmosphere when you're hanging by the pool, or reading on your balcony, and is great for couples who still want to enjoy the thrills and spills of Orlando. Complete with a poolside bar, and a coffee/deli style counter in the lobby, you don't need to go far for anything, and with a kitchenette in the suites you can even heat yourself up a quick dinner in the evening. However, wander over to the Grove Resort and Waterpark and you have full access to a huge waterpark complete with slides, lazy river and more, an activity centre with arcade games, and a wider selection of bars and restaurants. And then just a stones throw away (well, a complimentary shuttle ride actually) you have Walt Disney World - the pinnacle of Orlando, where you'll find even more excitement.

“Could do better”

Pros: spacious apartment, plenty of storage, big fridge/freezer. Great washing machine/tumble drier, balcony water park and swimming pool were excellent. Cons: before we arrived my husband emailed three times to find out how to book the theme park bus for the day after our arrival and got no response. We went for dinner on our first evening at the restaurant and despite it being half empty were told by a very surly young greeter we couldn’t be seated for 10 minutes. As we had 2 young children who were tired we ended up having pizza from the shop. I complained at reception and was given an email address for food and beverage. I emailed and it bounced. Reception gave me another address it bounced. They gave me the general manager’s email it bounced! Trying to see the F&B manager in person was a nightmare and eventually I gave up as we were busying going to theme parks and I wanted to spend time with my family. Clearly communication is something that needs to be looked at. The furniture in one bedroom was in poor repair and the place definitely needs some TLC.

Yavier Torres at the Valencia Restaurant in the facility truly elevates the entire experience! From the moment we arrived on property everyone was extremely welcoming. The room is spacious and clean, the food is cooked to perfection with a perfect symphony of flavor. Truly can not sing the praises loud enough. Go see Yavier, he will make sure you not only have a fantastic meal but an entire experience!

Jax was absolutely fantastic at teaching my kids to surf. He has made whole experience unforgettable and so much fun. Couldn’t recommend doing the flowrider with Jax.
