Best snorkeling and reef. Mini bar selection is excellent. Pizza bar and sunset area is stunning. Saxophone guy was unbelievable. The grill restaurant we ate here the majority of nights. The little coffee shop was a lovely touch. Yoga mornings I loved. The staff were very friendly. Cons: As this a larger island we felt it was little impersonal. No individual lounge in Male. The app again we felt was hard to use as the resturants got booked straight away. The buffet restaurant did not feel like a 5star hotel. I would 100% recommend to stay here you won't be disappointed. We spent 5 nights at Dhigali for our honeymoon, in a bungalow with a pool under the sea (impeccable bungalow and excellent cleanliness), but in my opinion, at least during the rainy season, it wasn't worth the investment. The sea under the bungalow was very rough, which made it dangerous to go in and out of the bedroom stairs by the sea. The beach villas, on the other hand, had calm waters because they were protected by rocks. The hotel is not well prepared for the MoonSun Season. There's supposed to be a transfer going around the island every 15 minutes, but most of the time there was never one. With dark paths, very little lighting and rain, it was not at all convenient and to see the puddles we had to use the light from our cell phones. Our room was at one end of the island and the restaurant for breakfast and lunch, the swimming pool and the main bar were at the opposite end, and without the transfer, it took us at least 20 minutes to get there (playing it down). Frustrating! What's more, we were on an all-inclusive basis and, in fact, lots of things cost extra, even a simple coconut water, as they have huge coconut trees all over the island. Weak pool snacks. Positives: all the staff were extremely helpful and polite, the cleanliness was impeccable and overall it was beautiful. Read less

Second time here and, WOW, so happy we chose here for my 50th birthday. From stepping off the plane at Male, we were looked after straight away. The staff are so warm, welcoming and really love their jobs. Sara Ji, greeted us warmly, she had nothing but lovely things to say about the general manager Christian, who also greeted us. He is always about seeing that everyone is happy and having the perfect break. He’s very present and approachable, very impressed with him!. The restaurants are sublime, our favourite is definitely Faru, best burrata outside of Italy!!. Fish was fresh, steak perfect, nothing was less than excellent. Stand out staff were shaaban (always smells fabulous). Laamiu, Sukan and Nina. They really looked after us. Battuta, stand out staff were Ramittay, Muaaz, Suma and again the lovely Shaabin. Food was excellent, lovely atmosphere, had a lovely birthday meal here. Capers and jade are also excellent, loved the theme nights and the fabulous chefs. Especially the lovely smiley egg station man and lady. Asfaaq and Naseem ( aka Martin) stood out from service and smiles. I had a hot stone massage with Pooja at the spa that was phenomenal, so relaxing and lovely essential oils used. The pre sheet request was very clever, asking the type of pressure, essential oils and experience I’d like. It was the best massage I’ve ever had. The Haali bar is stunning, so relaxing and has the best views on the island, we saw crabs, baby sharks and manta rays with cocktails in hand, wonderful saxophone playing in the background. Prabu and Surya always looked after us. At night we loved the East bar for a sophisticated atmosphere, staff remembered our names, room numbers, where we were from. Nila was such a sweetie and helped teach me some words in Balinese, she was so attentive and friendly. Also two guys on our first night that made my favourite gin, limoncello and lemonade drink. Wish i could remember their names. Our housekeeping staff and fridge stockists were also excellent. We had a range of animals to meet us every night, fashioned from towels and leaves. Very impressive. Naaiz was our main housekeeper and kept everything immaculate. I could go on forever about how perfect the place, staff, rooms, food and attention to detail is. We will be back, this place is my heaven on earth. Thank you all for all you did, looking after us and making our holiday perfect ❤️. Read less
