Airhorns, megaphones, drums, whistles, etc. This is a community of residential homes.. how is this allowed?!?! Also for a “5 star hotel” it’s FILTHY nasty with zero amenities (no robes, slippers, fridge or minibar, coffeemaker, and a safe that can be fully picked up and lifted out with a note of no liability.) Used to stay here several times a year when it was Mr. c hotel but haven’t been in 2 years and it’s fallen into shambles. The hotel workers are flippant and rude. Here is a playback of our 7am conversation. “Hi what is going on outside?” “There is a protest.” “Um. Ok. Are you guys going to be doing anything about this or some compensation for the disturbance of any sort?” “wHat Do YoU wAnT mE tO dO aBouT iT” Read less

Spent the day here with friends for a Mother’s Day party. Had an excellent time at the pool and lounge. Eddie the bartender was exceptional. Amazing drinks, amazingly hospitable. Very accommodating to everything we needed. Just overall a wonderful experience. Definitely coming back.

Had an incredible day at this hotel pool with my friend. The atmosphere was super chill, the service was on point, and we had an absolute blast lounging by the water. It was the perfect escape! We're already making plans to come back. Highly recommend if you need a relaxing and enjoyable day out. Definitely a 10/10 experience – you won't regret it!

This review is specifically for their restaurant/bar, Il Moderno: My husband and I have been coming to this establishment for years (even prior to the name change). The mood of the restaurant is the perfect combination of old-school yet relaxed. We love coming here for a laid-back meal with really great service. They’ve kept all the best dishes on the menu, and the staff are some of the kindest and most professional we’ve come across. Big shoutout to Eddie at the bar—he’s super friendly and really knows his stuff. I just tell him what kind of drink I’m in the mood for, and he creates something totally original that always hits the mark. That’s what makes a great bartender, in my book! Foods to try if you don't know what to get: beef carpaccio and tuna tartare for starters. Branzino and any pasta dish (my faves are the paccheri and risotto) for mains. Yum! Read less

The worst 5 star hotel I have stayed at. I don’t know where to begin with explaining why this was such a terrible stay. But let’s try to do this step by step, on the website this hotels looks like a 5* resort, the pictures don’t actually represent the amenities correctly, the pool area was more like a 3* shabby unattended area, no sign of the fine wood panels and gazebos, opened at 10 in the morning and quite unimpressive, that’s a -1*. Now the checkin process started quite badly, I wanted to use my Apple Pay to put up the security deposit, “we don’t accept Apple Pay” really Hilton? No Apple Pay in 2025, and that in Los Angeles? Then my Business card got declined by the Hilton system, “Your card is high risk”, please explain I replied, “the card is issued in a different country that your residence”, I replied “yes, I work for a foreign company”, to make a long story short, I went through all 4 of my credit cards and for the latter 3 all had high risk due to a new “problem”, by the way I had already paid for the stay so all of this was to secure a 12 USD fee at checkout. I ended up having a college put up the guarantee for those 12 USD, so I finally could get my room that I already had paid for. 7 AM the next morning I wake up to heavy drumming and loud loudspeakers voicing their discontent for the behavior against employees by the management of the hotel, this went on for hours every morning for my three day stay. Not a word from the front desk about this, and no we’re sorry about the noise. Then breakfast, I ask the receptionist in the restaurant, is breakfast included, no mention of that when I checked in, “no there is a point system, ask the front desk how many points you have to buy breakfast”, I had no appetite to spend another minute speaking to the front desk at this hotel, I decided it would not be worth it. I just grabbed the free coffee, yes the coffee, -1* for that Americano that is not coffee to me. During my very long check-in ai overhead a guest ask, “where is the Spa” the reply was “we don’t have a spa” very odd as the large letters on the garden wall read Cameo Hotel and Spa”, just silly to be honest. I left the best to the last, the rate for this hotel is 950 USD per room, a total joke. I did not pay close to that amount when booking at Hotwire more 30% of that amount. As a Hilton Honors member I felt no honor, quite sad experience! I agree with the protesters boycott this hotel. Read less
