The hotel

Offering home-from-home comfort, guest rooms are of the utmost importance, divided into two separate areas – a dressing room and sleeping lounge – and packed to the hilt with mod-cons, including complimentary unlimited WiFi. Eating and dining is something you’ll want to make the most of whilst on holiday and at the hotel we’ve got a variety of restaurants to tempt you. Soak up the private members vibe at The Commons Club, home of the hosted cocktail hour or catch your breath over a coffee at TwoZeroThree, a Euro-style coffee house. Stargazers should make a beeline for the Rooftop Bar Cerise and indulge in craft cocktails and small bites. If you want some inspiration for your trip, the hotel app shares locals’ favourites (and allows you to control the thermostat in your room, order room service and more).

Where is it

In downtown Chicago, 1 block away from Michigan Avenue with great shopping and restaurants. Close to Chicago Theatre, Millennium Park, Chicago Cultural Center, Theater District, Chicago River and Navy Pier. Transfer time from O'Hare International Airport: 1 hour.

Hotel information

250 rooms. All of which are two-chambered with a dressing room and a sleeping area separated by a sliding door. Facilities include air-conditioning, flat-screen HDTV, telephone, tea/coffee maker, mini-fridge, mini-bar, safe*, hairdryer and iron and board. Chamber Rooms are divided into two separate areas by sliding privacy doors - a dressing room and bedroom - with 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Grand Chamber Suites are slightly larger, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Nice Big rooms and bathrooms, but small beds. Constant noisy trains, and I wouldn’t use earplugs—deserves a better review.

Extremely pleasant people, the coffee shop and restaurant on-site included. For example, I asked Frankie one question about the new Fantastic Four movie and it turned into a whole fifteen minute convo. She didn't have to do that, but it's just one example of the quality of service you get here. Coffee shop? Drinks are awesome with fun names and some of the BEST breakfast sandwiches that I've had anywhere, not just a hotel. Miss Ricky's the restaurant also has great food! And I haven't even mentioned the rooftop bar yet! Drinks are great, vibes and views even better. I'm sad because my wife and I have pledged our loyalty to Marriott moving forward, but if you are hotel-agnostic and loooking for a great place to stay in the Chi, STAY HERE! Read less
