A good all round hotel with friendly staff. Check in was smooth and although no help with luggage, located our room, no problem. The hotel is slightly out of main area, which is good for us but has some decent bars and restaurants near by. Service for breakfast or evening drinks was always good. Loved the fact that there were cups down stairs to fill with fresh cold water and by the pool. The pool was nice, although i would say if the sun-beds are taken, the bar lady shouldn’t be occupying a bed (this was the only staff member that didn’t seem to want to do a lot or engage). On Monday when it was really hot, there was no water on the bar and the bar wasn’t open, this was disappointing. Our room was nice, bed very comfortable, a full length mirror outside of the wardrobe wouldn’t have go a miss, or more draws for clothes as bedside tables had no draws. Main room lacking a main light, difficult to see in the evening when sorting out clothes. I would recommend this hotel to others. Read less

Four of my past 5 stays at IHG hotels have been disappointments and this was no exception. No one to help with luggage, had to get a cart and take to room without any assistance. Parking rate of $60 per night was excessive. There was an attitude of "I don't care" that ran through the staff. Our ambassador level status was never recognized, nor… Read more

Parking rate of $60 per night was excessive. There was an attitude of "I don't care" that ran through the staff. Our ambassador level status was never recognized, nor did it get us any additional upgrade or amenities. Loyalty with IHG goes in only one direction, not to the guests. Room smelled like an old wet rag was left to mold in a hidden location, carpet was stained. Just a very, very bad experience. Read less

Very convenient location. Several restaurants nearby and breakfast at the hotel was very good. Our waiter Dunkin was friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend for a family or couple. Walking distance to many amenities and nearby businesses.

The staff at this hotel is First Rate, especially Amir in the valet here & Kevon at the front desk, who was especially nice to us & our dog Murphy! Amir gave our dog treats every time he saw him, so cool of them to go above & beyond! For these reasons we are loyal Kimpton customers & will remain so!

We usually stay at Kimpton Hotels if possible, when we travel but have become increasingly disillusioned since it was purchased by IHG. Our last stay was cut three nights short, by our choice, in Nashville. The hotel was grim, grimy stairwells, bleak decorations, and a lack of the attention to detail and quirky designs that used to make Kimpton unique. We didn’t have any housekeeping the first full day and the second day, a man knocked in our door at 9:00 am and didn’t announce himself. While I was walking to open the door, he opened it. He did not announce himself or even state why he had our room key. Super freaky. I called the Front Desk and spoke with the manager on duty who couldn’t explain why a strange man would have the key to our door but assumed it was Housekeeping, which I found a little rich seeing as how we didn’t get housekeeping the day before yet someone would come on Easter Sunday at 9:00 am? There were no carts in the hallways, we checked, so it doesn’t add up. When we checked out, the woman at the front desk asked how our stay was and when I gave her the brief synopsis about why we were leaving early, she did not apologize or even act in the least bit concerned. Just uck. And they charged $50 per night for parking, but we self-parked, and that was the valet price per night as advertised in their website. So another phone call to settle our bill correctly.
