From the moment you pull up to this resort, you're greeted with a stunning entrance that sets the tone for a relaxing getaway. The design is full of natural elements--wood, stone, and lush greenery--that instantly transport you into paradise mode.
We were pleasantly surprised to be welcomed not just by any staff member, but by the director himself, who personally checked us in and walked us to the concierge for a smooth orientation and overview of our stay. It was a great first impression.
Our room was clean, modern, and minimalist, with a calming atmosphere and a balcony overlooking the beach and pool--truly a highlight. The bathroom was spotless and featured a bidet toilet, which was a nice luxury touch. My only minor complaint was the hair dryer, which could've been a bit stronger.
One unique feature of the hotel is the aquarium lounge area--a peaceful spot with tables and seating where you can watch the fish swim by. Unfortunately, the bar that once served this area is now closed, so you can't order drinks or snacks but you can always bring your own! While there is a poolside bar, it would've been nice to have a quieter, more laid-back option away from the pool crowd.
The resort also offers a full-service spa, a gym, and fitness classes, and is conveniently connected to an ABC Store, which made grabbing essentials super easy. There are a few boutiques on-site and even dining options by Chef Morimoto, including his ramen shop and the upscale Morimoto Asia restaurant.
A minor inconvenience during our stay was the inconsistency with housekeeping. There didn't seem to be a set schedule for room cleaning, and on some days they forgot to replenish coffee or missed a few towels. That said, we overheard that the resort is currently short-staffed, so considering the circumstances, they're doing the best they can.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The resort has a lot to offer--from the gorgeous views and modern amenities to the peaceful vibe and unique features like the aquarium seating area. With a few small improvements in service and operations, this place could easily be a 5-star experience.
