Everything was very nice, the pool was the only issue. It was very over crowded and it's very small. I would suggest they either make the pool bigger or make another one for Adults.

My recent experience at this hotel was incredibly disappointing due to the unprofessional behavior of the front desk staff — particularly a clerk named Joe. I had already checked in and was told my room would be ready shortly, so I waited patiently in the lobby. After 30 minutes had passed, well beyond the stated check-in time of 3:00 PM, I politely asked Joe for an update on the status of my room. To my shock, he responded with rudeness and actually screamed at me for simply asking a question. It was completely uncalled for and unprofessional. To make matters worse, when I asked to speak with a manager, she came over but didn’t offer any kind of apology or acknowledgment of Joe’s completely inappropriate behavior. She seemed indifferent to the entire situation, which only added to the frustration. What made the situation even more confusing was that other guests were being checked in while I was being told they were “running behind.” It felt like I was being deliberately ignored or deprioritized without explanation despite having a status with a hotel. This experience left a very bad impression, and unfortunately, it overshadowed the rest of my stay. A front desk sets the tone for any hotel, and when staff act with hostility and management fails to address it, it reflects poorly on the entire operation. I sincerely hope this is addressed internally so future guests aren’t treated this way. Read less

We were looking for a hotel for our family of four along Waikiki beach. We initially chose the Hyatt Regency Waikiki because of its positive reviews, location along Waikiki beach, and the fact that the rooms have queen beds, as opposed to many hotels along the beach that only had full size. In a bustling place like Waikiki, we were pleasantly surprised when we began receiving five-star service the minute we entered the property. From the valet telling us how to get to the check-in counter before we could ask, to the check-in area with friendly and kind staff, dining staff who were friendly and really good at keeping the birds away, and the prompt housekeeping services. We had been island hopping and had recently home from another large property on Big Island, and the difference in service between the two places was wild. The beach chairs to check out were a huge plus for us too! It was so nice being able to check out nice chairs to relax on the beach. I'm assuming this hotel is used to train other hotels' staff. We travel quite a bit, and have never seen that level of service in this tier of hotel. Thank you for the amazing experience! We will be back! Read less

First of all I was in the world of Hyatt membership que and the staff helped in at the front desk to check in was really rude. No smile, no greetings and asked me if I’m a member with a stare. Yes I know how to read and I could see that she was judging me by my appearance/age. And they only told us at the check out that there’s water shut down at 11pm-5am. How am I suppose to spend the night without using water………. We’ve stayed at variety of Hyatt groups’ hotels world wide and this is one of the worst one. I highly suggest they have training for all their staffs repetitively to provide better service. Read less

This was our second time staying at the Hyatt Waikiki—both visits were for three weeks with our children. Our first stay, about 15 months ago, was wonderful. Unfortunately, this recent visit was quite the opposite. This time we had access to the Regency Club. One morning while I was getting coffee, a staff member approached me in front of other guests and told me our pass had expired the day before. She stated that we were only allowed one week in the Club and that I needed to go to the front desk. I responded politely, saying there must be a mistake and that I would speak with my husband. To make matters worse, the same staff member then approached the husband of our friends—mistakenly thinking he was my husband—and repeated the same message, further embarrassing me in front of our group. Shortly after, we discovered that all of our room keys and Club access had been deactivated without warning, and we were treated as if we had done something wrong. When my husband went to the front desk, they admitted it was their error—we were in fact entitled to two weeks of Club access—and apologized. However, no offer of compensation or meaningful remedy was provided for the inconvenience and humiliation. The experience left me feeling so uncomfortable that I avoided returning to the Club for the rest of our stay. Sadly, after such a disappointing experience, we will not be returning to this property again. Read less
