Part of the Outrigger family, this is a premier hotel with well-equipped, spacious guest rooms ensuring a comfortable holiday base. The location is fantastic too, directly overlooking beautiful Waikiki Beach and just a stone's throw from shops, bars and restaurants. Even people who aren't staying here tend to wander into the lobby as it's filled with rare and historic Hawaiian artefacts, including a century-old koa canoe! The Hula Grill Waikiki is another local attraction, serving scrumptious breakfasts and romantic dinners beside the ocean. Duke's Waikiki is also right on the beach and perfect for an evening meal, complete with regular live music and hula performances. The swimming pool is beachside so you can enjoy the views of the sparkling blue waters, wherever you choose to set up camp for the day.

This was my first stay with Outrigger and I was not pleased with the added charges to my hotel stay. Resort fee's and valet parking if you have the extra money to spend then its for you. The spa was nice I did enjoy the massage, amenities are good.

great staff and wonderful beach and pool. The front staff always remebers us and we have stayed at the property for over 15 years. It's fantastic to get a meal at the Hula Grill and Dukes. Easy to get in and out of the property and hit the beach for a swim day or night.

Very Disappointed

I am not sure how this property has more than two stars on any site. I was extremely disappointed when I arrived to see the hotel did not appear to have been updated since 1990, and looked very tired. None of the rooms have been updated nor the furniture.
I spent the money for an oceanfront room and was irritated when I saw peeling wall paper, a bathroom ceiling in bad disrepair. When I went to the front desk to explain my frustrations, their only response was "I'm sorry to hear that". They didn't offer to move me to another room or ask me if they could make repairs to my room. All I got was a "sorry". When I asked to see another oceanfront room to move to, I walked in and there was an incredibly terrible smell.
The first time I walked to the pool, I was led down a path on the side of the hotel that was lined with food deliveries for the day against the fence so clearly was next to the kitchen. Is this really what you want guests to see on vacation? The pool was the smallest I've seen for a hotel this size so yet another disappointment.
Needless to say, I was beyond disappointed with this property and will not be back.

Great and personal housekeeping service was a highlight of our stay. Thank you, Brenda.

I wanted to take a minute to thank our housekeeper, Brenda, for our outstanding service and her friendly disposition. Our room was spotless and she was so nice to us whenever our paths crossed. It is good to know there are people like her who not only take great pride in their work, but also in making sure guests feel cared for.
