Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel

Honolulu, Honolulu

Star rating

The hotel

Hawaii's first and only craft hotel - from the Hawaiian art that adorns the walls, curated by local artists, to the locally brewed beer and handmade dishes from fresh, local ingredients. You really will get a true taste of Waikiki staying here! There's even an art gallery come coffee shop within the hotel. Located on the bustling street that is Kalakaua Avenue, you've got shops, restaurants and bars surrounding you. Connected to a shopping centre, you can be in Macy's at the drop of a hat, that's if you can tear yourself away from the pool's swimming pool and hot tub! But of course when you think of Hawaii, you also think of the ocean, and you're only a block away from the waves of Waikiki Beach too. Back to the locally brewed beer, Maui Brewing Co. is the island's largest bar, and will keep you entertained with daily live music, a whole host of craft beers, ales and lagers, and of course some delicious handmade food to accompany them.

Kristina was absolutely amaizing. She was like a personal guide and made our stay ten times more enjoyable. The hotel was clean open and super close to target and the beach.

We enjoyed our trip very much but one of the best part was how great our room service person was who kept our room clean every day. She was excellent. Her name is Zhi Yi.

Clean, beautiful rooms and well maintained hotel. Great restaurants attached to hotel (Maui Brewing Company & Hawaiian Aroma Caffe) and a very short walking distance to restaurants, upscale shopping, Target, and 2 minute walk to the beach (just cross the road and walk down cool surfboard lined walkway) Great location if you don’t have a rental car. Approximately 30 minute Uber to Pearl Harbor. We got an ocean view room and also had a view of Diamond Head. Small pool area but typical of being a city hotel. Street noise can be heard with balcony door open but with door closed & white noise machine at night-heard nothing and slept great. Just know this is a city hotel & if you’re wanting a more laid back, quiet, non crowded area, look at one of the outlying resorts. We got a rental car for one day (rental car companies a 5 minute walk from hotel) to explore the island-highly recommend heading out toward the Halona blowhole & Kualoa Ranch (mountain area where Jurassic World movies filmed) Stop at Kalapawai Cafe & Deli for lunch!
