Caesars Palace

The Strip, Las Vegas

Star rating

The hotel

This Las Vegas legend hasn’t outlasted many of its neighbours by accident. Look beyond its decadent glory-of-Rome exterior and you’ll find supremely well-appointed, contemporary rooms and suites without a whiff of white marble overkill. There are few Vegas resorts that can hold a Roman candle to Caesar’s casino and gaming options, while foodies could happily spend days ticking off the relaxed and upscale eateries on offer. Likewise, if retail therapy is on your mind, the resort’s Forum Shops is an opulent mall that’s been dubbed ‘The Shopping Wonder of the World’. And did we mention that Caesar’s Palace continues to host the grandest of grand Vegas performers such as Adele at its 4,000 plus seater Colosseum stadium?

Image of the Tripadvisor rating RUDE and unprofessional staff. Caesars is a shadow of its former self

This property is a shell of its former glory. Calling the front desk from your room phone transfers you to a call center in India, who are, according to them “an extension of the front desk”. While some staff still go above and beyond, this was quickly overshadowed by several extremely unprofessional interactions with RUDE staff. After coming back to our room at 8pm which still had not been cleaned (no privacy doortag was on the door), one staff member had the audacity to tell me “if you don’t call to request housekeeping you can’t expect us to clean it.” We were charged for internet on more devices than we ever connected and had to get charges removed at checkout. The lady at the checkout stand literally rolled her eyes at me when I asked about the overcharge. If you are nostalgic and remember this hotel for what it used to be, you will leave incredibly disappointed. Read less

Room was awesome. Wifi was awful. Sports book was great. Food and beverage was way too expensive. Eat offsite, gamble across the street. Staff Caesars was awesome! The location is the best

When I arrived, I was informed that the King room I reserved was unavailable. I was offered a downgrade to a room with two queen beds, which I declined. I was then placed in a King room with no view, directly overlooking loud ventilation units, and was still charged for a higher-tier room. That was only the beginning. The room was clearly not cleaned properly: the bed was half-made, there were no soaps, shampoos, or toiletries in the bathroom or shower, and worst of all, the bathroom area smelled strongly of urine. In addition to the unclean and downgraded room, we were placed between two extremely disruptive rooms: • One shared a connecting door and had at least 10 people—mostly teenagers—screaming, yelling, and stomping starting at 6:00 AM. • The other was hosting loud parties with music rumbling through the floor and hallway. Security had to be called to shut it down. After a nearly sleepless night, we requested a late checkout to recover a fraction of our lost rest and were told no. I asked to speak with a manager and never received a call or follow-up. The front desk staff spoke over me, dismissed my concerns, and treated the situation as a nuisance rather than a legitimate guest complaint. This stay caused undue stress and disappointment. I did not receive what I paid for, was subjected to health and hygiene issues, and encountered staff who made no effort to resolve or even acknowledge the severity of the situation. Read less
