My recent stay at the Flamingo was, without question, one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. What was supposed to be a relaxing getaway quickly turned into five days of frustration, lack of sleep, and unacceptable customer service.
Room cleanliness and basic amenities were completely neglected.
Housekeeping only serviced our room once during our entire stay. Towels, washcloths, and toiletries were never replenished. The body wash in our shower was empty upon arrival, and even after texting customer service for replacements, it was never restocked. Having to chase the hotel for basic essentials is unacceptable for any property, let alone one on the Strip.
The early-morning construction noise was unbearable.
Every morning between 6–7 AM, we were woken up by loud drilling, vibrations, and construction coming from the lobby area. The vibrations could be felt in the room. After paying over $1,300 for this trip, being jolted awake every day was infuriating. Strangely, the construction seemed to stop later in the day—especially around check-in hours—which tells me the hotel is fully aware of the disruption but still chooses to place paying guests in these rooms without warning.
Customer service only made things worse.
When we reported the issues, we were offered nothing more than a refund of two days’ resort fees. This gesture did little to address the repeated early-morning disturbances, lack of cleanliness, and overall poor conditions we experienced. Even more frustrating, when we asked to be relocated to another room, we were flatly refused—despite the clear disruption we were experiencing.
The on-duty manager, Sandra, was dismissive, unhelpful, and showed no interest in resolving the situation. She refused to provide any meaningful assistance, and it was obvious our concerns were treated as an inconvenience rather than legitimate issues.
What made this experience even more frustrating was the complete lack of follow-up.
I was told I would be contacted within 24–48 hours. I submitted a formal written complaint. Yet no call, no email, and no acknowledgement ever came. That silence speaks volumes about how little guest concerns seem to matter here.
Overall, this stay was deeply disappointing from start to finish. Between the lack of cleanliness, disruptive construction noise, refusal to relocate us, unprofessional staff response, and total lack of follow-through, I cannot recommend the Flamingo. I genuinely hope management takes these concerns seriously, because the experience I had is far below what any guest should expect.
