Disappointed first time experience at Nobu Hotel

I had high expectations for Nobu Hotel in Las Vegas, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from the start. I requested early check-in and was told I would be notified when a room became available — that never happened. I had to follow up multiple times, and only after physically approaching the front desk was I finally given a room — just one hour before the standard 4:00 pm check-in.
Worse still, when I thought I had misplaced my passport, I asked for the front desk phone number and was flatly told “no.” The person who responded, apparently named IVY, was shockingly rude and unhelpful during an already stressful moment. That level of customer service is unacceptable, especially for a hotel at this price point.
Overall, the experience lacked the attention to detail, communication, and hospitality I expected from a brand like Nobu. I won’t be returning.

Quiet oasis in the middle of the strip

My first time staying at Nobu. The moment I stepped off the elevator to check on the lobby was beautiful and quite a sense of calm if you will in the middle of all the hustle and bustle that is Las Vegas. My check in agent Jade was amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was extra special. Jade’s attention to detail and customer…

Japanese, kinda

So hearing that this hotel was connected to the Nobu restaurant and also that it is Japanese, I think I was expecting something more like 10,000 Waves (Japanese toilets! Tea kettle and tea in the room! Bento breakfast box!) and less like the Hampton Inn and Suites, but with no free breakfast and a tray of snacks you can't pick up for more than 30…

So hearing that this hotel was connected to the Nobu restaurant and also that it is Japanese, I think I was expecting something more like 10,000 Waves (Japanese toilets! Tea kettle and tea in the room! Bento breakfast box!) and less like the Hampton Inn and Suites, but with no free breakfast and a tray of snacks you can't pick up for more than 30 seconds along with a refrigerator you can't use. I came at a time when the rate was discounted and was glad, if I had paid full price I would have been extremely upset. Things other reviews have mentioned were true: our room wasn't ready until about 6pm, even though check-in is at 4pm. The bathroom smelled weird (mold? smells from the drain?) We luckily did have hot water and decent water pressure most of the time (except the first night). The toilet had a leak and ran periodically all night. The "72nd floor" (actually the 2nd floor) gimmick was weird. I don't drink so the free cocktail hour was of no benefit. Can't imagine we'll go back.

Great hotel within a hotel!

The Nobu is a step up into a higher level of luxury. The room, bathroom accommodations were fantastic and quiet. My only issue is that the pillows on the bed need to be a firmer or provided with a better variety.
