The hotel

The Rio Las Vegas has been reborn, and it's still just as iconic, with generously-sized rooms featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and jaw-dropping views of Las Vegas Valley. Seemingly inspired by the Strip’s global ‘landmarks’, the Rio’s array of restaurants take you on a worldwide tour, from the Asian flavours of its dim sum, all-you-can-eat Indian buffets, and the hearty American favourites of VooDoo Steakhouse, which takes in the glitz of Vegas from its 50th floor vantage point. And if that's not enough, you've got the newly opened Canteen Food Hall too! With a fully revamped pool area featuring 4 different pools, the recent upgrades to this hotel make it a real game changer when it comes to great value Vegas hotels. Rediscover the enchantment that defines the essence of Rio, amongst the rhythm of Vegas.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Nice Remodel Rooms But Feels Like They Are Picking Your Pocket for Everything with No Service in Return

The refurbished rooms were quite nice but the hotel itself is half way finished. Large portions are closed. The $50 resort fee is just a junk add on without any kind of justification. No water in room or coffee. Staff are impossible to find and will not answer the phone. We tried housekeeping and the front desk to ask for an additional pillow. No one would answer and the queue for the front desk was always extremely long even at off peak hours. The shops and restaurants that were open were ridiculously pricey for what you get. The exception would be the breakfast place which was expensive but the meals were worth the price. Read less

The Rio is an excellent off-strip choice! It would be even better if the Voodoo Restaurant and Lounge was open, and the pool was heated all year long. Walking to the center of the strip was easy and not far at all. I would happily stay here again!

Not very fun, food was very poor and the Casino had no games that interested me.....had to go elsewhere to have "fun". The service culture is not present at the Rio. The remodeled room was passable, but still had too many of the "old bones" to make a difference.

Very dingy and non welcoming casino and hotel. Show we saw was very bad, very distasteful and poor production. The bars did not have a great selection and the food options were not great. We have $100 to spend on food and we didnt even want the choices for free.
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Spacious Room, But Poor Ventilation and Hygiene Issues

Pros: The room was spacious, offering plenty of comfort. Cons: (1) The ventilation system at the casino and hotel check-in was extremely poor. I was initially overwhelmed by the smoke. I developed an upper respiratory viral infection afterward. (2) There was a blood spot on the duvet cover, which was very disturbing. (3) The WiFi connection was… Read more
