Vdara Hotel & Spa at ARIA Las Vegas

The Strip, Las Vegas

Star rating

The hotel

Designed for those who want to tap into the energy and excitement of Las Vegas but would prefer to enjoy it from an exclusive, non-gaming and smoke-free resort, Vdara is one of few hotels in Vegas not to house a casino. What you get instead is a cosmopolitan, all-suite hotel that feels blissfully private despite being in the heart of the action. The cutting-edge pool is surrounded by private retreats, semi-private plunge pools and cabanas; there’s a world-class spa, and you are a few short minutes away from a dizzying range of dining, shopping and entertainment options, so you’ll never be short of things to do. The Vdara really is an oasis in the desert.

After several disappointing stays at MGM properties in Las Vegas, we decided to give Vdara a try. We paid for early check in and arrived a little after noon. We were greeted warmly by Amber, who engaged us in pleasant conversation while typing away and making a quick phone call to confirm our room assignment. We were off to a great start thanks to Amber. Amber also took care of registering a promotional resort credit and Freeplay offer to our MGM account; our last 2 stays with MGM required that we stand in line at the casino rewards desks to claim our offers, and had we not, we would have forfeited both offers. We were assigned a Parlor Suite on the 33rd floor. The room was impressive and in good condition. The view was incredible. Bellagio fountains and Eiffel tower, and greater Las Vegas and mountain range to the west. The fridge in the kitchen was especially nice to have, MGM having removed the fridge from the majority of their properties. Our thanks to Amber and to Matthew in guest relations for making our 4 night stay at Vdara memorable. Read less

This was our 4th stay at Vdara. We first stayed there 9 years ago for our wedding & It used to be luxury but this last stay was incredibly disappointing. On our first day, we arrived early at 11am and were given a room straight away which was great. Upon check-in, the staff was incredibly friendly and I asked for cutlery, plates and washing powder. She said she would have it sent up. When i got to the room, i called to have linen sent up as well as i booked for 3 people and needed to make up the foldout lounge I asked 3 more times during the day for the crockery and linen. At 8pm they were delivered. We were told we could not have any more pillows as they had run out. There were no extra pillows in any cupboards. We booked the room for 3 people so I would have thought they would allow us all to have pillows. I went to the front desk to confirm they had no pillows, I even asked if they would get a pillow from Aria. The guy told me they were "fully booked". My response was that they are a hotel in Vegas and should cope with being fully booked instead of letting guests down. I was offered a $30 food and beverage voucher. Just for future, a voucher is not a substitute for a pillow. For the price of a room & the resort fees, can I suggest you invest in more pillows. The rooms are now very run down. The rooms were relatively clean. However, when I made the fold out bed, their was a dirty tissue in it which was extremely gross. Vdara will continue to have guests due to their large rooms, washing/ dryer in rooms, kitchens etc which is hard to find on the strip & it now shows that they just dont care about guests. 2 stars for the great location & beautiful views from the corner suite. If I can offer any advice, it would be to not stay here. Vdara used to be considered a luxury hotel and it is now far from that. We had friends staying at a Hilton property during the same dates, their suites were a fraction of the cost and were beautifully updated. MGM/ Vdara/ Aria lost a long time customer. I took video and images of how run… Read more

The in room tablet for controlling infotainment and ordering room service was broken and non-functional. Let them know and they said they would be putting in another trouble ticket. The room was not clean. Dust on all the surfaces, still crumbs of food. I asked to be changed rooms, management declined a room change. Front desk assistant was nice, but unhelpful. Ultimately, it was you get what you get. I would expect this out of the Luxor, not an Aria property. They need to tighten it up. Terrible! Book at Aria or Cosmo or Wynn or Venetian before booking here. Such a shame because it is in a good location for proximity to Aria, Cosmo, and Bellagio. Read less
