I typically don’t leave reviews, and I preface this saying the room I stayed in was great. My son who I was travelling with loved the Mandalay Beach. On my first night in our suite a panel that covers the area under the bathroom sink fell on me as I was using the sink. It wasn’t a big deal other than leaving a small bruise on my shin and we were driving out to the Grand Canyon early the next morning so I just left the large panel on the bathroom floor. When we returned to the room after our day trip to the Canyon I noticed room service had place the broken panel in the space under the sink and the area under the sink was covered in mold. Having finally had time to go to reception to report it the next morning, a member of their VIP - priority staff noticed we were looking for someone to speak to. I explained what had happened, that the panel had fallen on me, and about the mold. The response very was we will call engineering. I have to say I was very underwhelmed by the response. Not an apology or anything. We are from Australia and looking at the personal injury lawyers everywhere around Vegas you’d think fixtures falling on customer’s would be a concern. Especially from a member of staff that deals with VIP customers. Advice to management better training for staff. A simple on behalf of the hotel I’m sorry would go a long way. Read less

Stayed here for the first time since they changed from being the Delano. Upscale suite in a nice complex, Mandalay Bay, which has the best pool in Vegas. Gaming is on the more expensive end. Lots of good restaurant choices, and walking distance to Luxor and Excalibur. Price was good with a special. Good MGM option.

My family and I stayed at the W Hotel in Las Vegas for two nights, and unfortunately our check-in experience was very disappointing. We had two separate bookings (one under my name and one under my wife’s). The front desk staff insisted that both of us be present for the entire check-in process, even though we had young children with us. This policy felt unnecessarily rigid and inconsiderate. In addition, when we arrived, no room was ready. We were told only that we would get a room “sometime today,” but the staff could not provide any clear timeframe. After a long trip with kids, this lack of preparation and communication was very frustrating. We expected a higher level of service and flexibility from a W Hotel, but the check-in process left us with a very negative first impression. Read less

Terrible- how can Marriott put W branding on such a terrible hotel is beyond me! Yes, I was fooled thinking W meant a quality/ luxury hotel - I was wrong. The bathroom smelled like pee and they claimed no other rooms to change to. Very dated room and bathroom. In addition, the street noise is incessant with honking. Couldn’t sleep at all.
