Air vents look like they've not been cleaned in years. There's also "no guaranteed check-in time" so be prepared to wait until 6pm or later

We stayed two nights at the W Las Vegas, which is part of Mandalay Bay, and had a great experience overall. The vibe is modern and upscale, but not stuffy. Our Stay Well W Premier King Suite felt spacious and clean, with a comfy bed and big bathroom. The property shares amenities with Mandalay Bay, which means easy access to lots of restaurants and shows, but W itself is tucked away and quiet, perfect if you're not looking to be right in the chaos. We appreciated that. The lobby and elevator areas had a sleek, moody style. It felt like a boutique hotel inside a bigger resort. Service was friendly across the board, and check-in was quick. We also used a travel credit through Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts, which gave us a $200 credit toward our stay and another $100 property credit, those perks definitely helped with value. One thing to note: resort fees still apply even with booking sites that show a lower total. Ours added up to $113 for two nights, so just factor that in. But all said and done, after credits, we paid under $200 for a luxury Vegas stay, which felt like a steal. If you're looking for a quieter corner of the Strip with style and Mandalay Bay convenience, the W is a solid pick. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Fun 3 day trip goes sour because of a water bug and racist hotel manager

There was a water bug in our room. We went downstairs and complained to the hotel manager(Darren) who was a complete racist. My family and I came back up to the room from going on a walk to ABC Store. When we got back the water bug was in the bathroom. We had dinner plans for 6pm that all went down the drain. Darren gave us another room but didn’t comp us for that night or for losing our dinner reservations which I have never experienced there. We can tell he was a total racist towards us because of the color of our skin. He was very nonchalant and definitely non caring towards our needs and the inconvenience it caused us. So we let him to speak to someone else while we waited and spoke about our reservations that went down the drain. We heard him offer the couple food credit and comped the room for the night but they were a different race. So I came on trip advisory to expose him and maybe someone ranked higher than him would do something about this pure racist. Mind you I took pictures of the water bug on the floor. Our trip was ruined. Read less

Rooms were spacious and clean, beds were very comfortable, hallways were not only nice but they were quiet also. So the hotel surpassed my expectations. Also, since we were going to an event at Allegiant Stadium, this hotel is the perfect location. There are a few shortcomings for this hotel. -The gym could use a little refresh. It was a decent size but does get crowded in the morning where you are struggling to get on equipment. -The pool has no umbrellas so you get burnt really fast in the sun. But I think all the Vegas hotels do this so you go back to somewhere where you spend money. Read less

We stayed at the W Las Vegas for a short two-night trip to see Coldplay at Allegiant Stadium. While the location was perfect for walking to and from the concert, the overall experience fell short of expectations. At check-in, we paid for early access but were told otherwise and we had confirmation. It wasn’t until we escalated to management and kept the conversation focused on resolution that it was finally honored. Staff were polite in tone, but not proactive in addressing the issue. The lobby and common areas felt dark and lacked energy. While the elevators were fast, the hallway on our floor (27) smelled musty and appeared worn. In the room, a curtain rod had fallen, the bathroom floor was dirty, and the lighting throughout—especially around the bathroom mirror—was very dim, with the top of the mirror, not illuminated at all. Given the short stay, we chose not to switch rooms. There was a minor misunderstanding about a $25 water bottle charge, but it was resolved quickly and courteously at checkout. On the bright side, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the hotel’s location near the stadium was a major plus. The taxi service from the hotel was excellent, friendly, reliable, and fairly priced. Overall, while the staff were courteous, the hotel lacked the atmosphere, care, and attention expected from a higher-end property. It may work for a quick concert trip, but those looking for a more refreshed and welcoming experience might prefer other options. Read less
