Already booked and want to earn points?
If you have already booked, you can still add your Flying Club number to your booking before you fly and earn points. If your flight number starts with VS, you can add your Flying Club number via Virgin Atlantic Manage Booking. If your flight number does not start with VS, head to the airline’s frequent flyer programme and add your Flying Club number to your booking.
Earning Points:
Points can only be earned in one frequent flyer programme (Flying Club or a partner programme) and cannot be transferred between airlines.
Points may only be earned on flights operated by South African Airways.
Reward Flights with partner airlines do not earn points.
- Upgraded bookings to higher classes with an additional fare do not earn extra points.
Spending Points:
All mileage is for a one-way ticket excluding passenger taxes, duties, fee, charges and surcharges.
All reward flights on South African Airways are subject to availability.
Blackout dates may apply and certain routes may not be available.
Redemptions can only be made on South African Airways operated flights.
- Rewards cannot be booked on a South African Airways marketed flight operated by another carrier.

Missing Points
- When claiming points please keep all copies of your original tickets/e-tickets and boarding passes until the correct amount of points appear on your account. If the points do not show on your account within six weeks, please contact us to claim them back.
