Disruption: National Air Traffic Control Services technical issue

We’re aware of a technical issue affecting the NATS air traffic control system today (21st September 2026).  Virgin Atlantic flights are currently operating as scheduled but may be subject to delays. 

If your flight is affected, we’ll contact you directly by email or SMS using the details in your booking. There’s no need to contact us in the meantime.

If you’re travelling today, please continue to check the latest information on our Flight Status page before travelling to the airport. Customers should continue to arrive at the airport at their scheduled check-in time.

We’re continuing to monitor the situation closely and will provide further updates if anything changes.
