Travel requirements for entering the UK

Travel requirements for the entering the UK are changing and include moving from physical immigration documents to eVisas and the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA).

 

  • eVisas - if you hold a UK visa and use a physical immigration document, take action now to access your eVisa here.*

  • ETA - if you do not need a visa to visit the UK for stays of up to six months, you will need an ETA to travel.

    Apply for your ETA here.

  • If you are transiting airside through London Heathrow or Manchester Airport, and not entering the UK, you will not be required to apply for an ETA.

*From 2nd June 2025, expired BRPs or EUSS BRCs are no longer accepted for travel to the UK.
