Travel requirements for entering the UK

ETA for travel to the UK

If you are travelling to the United Kingdom and you don't require a visa, you may need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before you fly.

From 25th February 2026, UK ETAs will become mandatory. If you require one to travel to the UK we won't be able to let you start your journey without it.

It's a quick and easy online application that grants you permission to enter the UK. The ETA costs £10 per person, and once approved it is valid for multiple visits over 2 years. To check if you need one and to apply, head to gov.uk/eta.

eVisas

If you need an eVisa to travel to the UK, remember to keep your details up to date in your UKVI account to ensure your visa links to your passport.
