Which terminal?
Due to ongoing construction work at the airport terminals, from 11th February 2026, all Virgin Atlantic flights will use Terminal 2 for baggage reclaim and arrivals.
Before 17th February 2026, all Virgin Atlantic flights will check in at Terminal 1.
From 17th February 2026, all Virgin Atlantic flights will check in at Terminal 2.

What time should I arrive at the airport?
Leave those last-minute airport dashes to the big screen! We recommend that you arrive at least four hours before your flight is due to leave.

Online check in
The best way to check in is online where you can pick your seat and print your boarding card. If you’re travelling with carry on baggage only, you can print off your own boarding pass and we’ll see you at the gate.
Counter check in and bag drop
You’ll find our desks, numbered 7-14, in the International Terminal.
Check in starts from four hours before departure and closes two hours before departure.
