Making a world of difference

Making the travel we love sustainable is one of our biggest challenges.

Small changes, big results

Challenging ourselves to do things better lies at the heart of everything we do. As an airline, we know we have a major role to play in protecting our planet. We’re working to make changes everywhere we can onboard, from removing single use plastic bottles to repairing and reusing our headsets. It’s all part of our mission to net zero, and we’re committed to every target on that journey.

  1. Good goodie bags

Making our amenity kits out of paper products has saved 9.45 tonnes of plastic a year - that's the same as 63,336 apples!

  2. It's a wrap!

We've replaced plastic headphone wrapping with paper charity donation envelopes, saving 16 tonnes of plastic a year

  3. Don't bottle it

We've removed 15.8 millions tonnes of single use plastic water and wine bottles annually in favour of recyclable cans and multi-pour bottles

  4. Cardboard cut outs

Our new Economy pressed board cutlery removes the single-use plastic weight equivalent to 18 jet engines a year

  1. A different cloth

Our famous Vivienne Westwood uniform is made from a yarn that's composed of 25% recycled plastic bottles

  2. Stirring up change

Swapping our plastic stirrers with sustainable bamboo ones saved 6.5 tonnes of single-use plastic

  3. Drinks all round

All the plastic cups that we use to serve drinks onboard are now made with 95% recycled material. Cheers to that!

  4. Box fresh

Our new Economy hot meal container is made from the plant material that's left after the extraction of juice from sugar cane. Sweet!
