You’ll earn Tier Points on every flight, so if your journey has more than one, you’ll collect Tier Points for each part of the trip.
Booking classes G, P & A are only awarded on full points Reward Flights and companion bookings. If you upgraded from a revenue fare to a higher cabin with points, your account will be credited with the Tier Points based on your original revenue class.
Your membership year begins the day after you achieve Silver or Gold status and continues until the end of that calendar month, plus an additional 12 months.
When you renew your status, the new membership year runs for 12 full months starting from the first day of the month following your renewal.
To upgrade or retain your tier, you’ll need to earn the required number of Tier Points within a 12-month period. Once you reach Silver or Gold, your status lasts for 12 months. If you don’t requalify in that time, you’ll move down one tier and your Tier Points will reset.

Earning Virgin Points on Virgin Atlantic Holidays:
Based on total spend on a Virgin Atlantic Holidays booking, the lead booker only, will earn Virgin Points depending on their membership tier:
Red - 2 Virgin Points per £1 spent
Silver - 3 Virgin Points per £1 spent
Gold - 4 Virgin Points per £1 spent
Bookings must be made online at www.virginatlantic.com, via the Virgin Atlantic Holidays Customer Centre or via a Virgin Atlantic Holidays store.
To qualify for Virgin Points, you must add your Flying Club membership number to your booking. This can be done at the time of making your booking or prior to your holiday and either online, in person or on the phone.
Virgin Points will be awarded on qualifying bookings for all product types. Everything must be booked together on a single booking/booking reference.
Virgin Points will be earned on the total value of the booking. For bookings including flights, this includes the base fare and all taxes, fees, charges and surcharges.
Virgin Points will not be awarded on change or cancellation fees.
Virgin Points will be awarded once travel has been completed. Virgin Points will be added to the lead booker’s account up to 28 days after travel.
In addition, all Flying Club members on the booking will earn Virgin Points on any eligible Virgin Atlantic operated or airline partner flight based on the route and booking class they travel in. Check how Virgin Points work here.

Earning double Tier points on Virgin Atlantic flights booked with Virgin Holidays
Double Tier Point levels are awarded based on cabin and booking class travelled for Virgin Atlantic flights for Flying Club members on qualifying Virgin Atlantic Holidays bookings. View the standard tier point earning table here.
Virgin Atlantic Holidays bookings must meet all of the following criteria:
All members must add their Flying Club number in at Virgin Atlantic My Booking or via My Account before travel for their booking to qualify to earn double Tier Points on Virgin Atlantic flights.
The booking must be made on or after 13th March 2025 for any future travel date.
The booking as a minimum must include flights + accommodation, flights + car hire or flights + cruise.
The booking must include a Virgin Atlantic operated flight.
The hotel, car or cruise element of the Virgin Atlantic Holiday must be for a minimum of three nights.
The hotel, car or cruise booked as part of the Virgin Atlantic Holiday must be utilised for the full duration of the booking.
The booking must originate and end in the UK.
If the booking includes both Virgin Atlantic and non-Virgin Atlantic operated flights, the double tier points will only apply to the Virgin Atlantic flight(s). Flights with Flying Club airline partners will earn standard Tier Points by carrier View the standard partner airline Tier Points earning levels here.
Double Tier Points do not apply to any Virgin Atlantic Holidays booking that does not satisfy these criteria – if the booking has a Virgin Atlantic flight this will earn the standard Tier Points only. View the standard Tier Point earning table here.

Earning 200 bonus Tier Points – 13th March 2025 to 6th April 2026
Earning 300 bonus Tier Points – 7th April 2026 to 20th April 2026
Earning 200 bonus Tier Points – 21st April 2026 to 31st January 2027
200 bonus Tier Points will be awarded to the lead booker only on Virgin Atlantic Holidays bookings that meet all of the following criteria:
Virgin Atlantic Holidays bookings made between 21 April and 31st January 2027 for any future travel date.
The booking must include a Virgin Atlantic operated flight.
The total value of the booking is £4,000 or more.
Qualifying spend excludes change or cancellation fees.
The booking as a minimum must include flights + accommodation, flights + car hire or flights + cruise.
The hotel, car or cruise element of the Virgin Atlantic Holiday must be for a minimum of three nights.
