Say hello to Starlink WiFi

Your screen, your scene

A few ground rules

So everyone can enjoy the ride

  1. Keep it quiet

Short voice calls only, headphones always, yes, always.

  2. Keep it friendly

Respectful content, nothing your seatmates or crew didn't sign up for.

  3. Keep it down at night

Lights low means calls off. The whole cabin will thank you.

FAQs

Not just yet. We’re starting with our A350 fleet, with more aircraft getting the Starlink treatment over time. During rollout, onboard WiFi may vary depending on your aircraft.

Stream, scroll, browse, message and more, just as you would at home. There are of course ground rules to make sure everyone gets to enjoy the experience, like using headphones, keeping the volume and lights low, and the content cabin-friendly.

Yes, you can connect to Starlink on multiple devices.

No, we want to respect the cabin for everyone so we also ask that any voice calls are kept short too.

Virgin Atlantic Starlink WiFi usage policy

At Virgin Atlantic, we’re committed to making your time onboard as enjoyable and connected as possible. Free, high-speed WiFi is part of the onboard experience on flights with Starlink, helping you stay connected, stay productive or simply switch off while you fly.

To help keep every journey smooth, we ask all guests to follow the guidelines below when using our WiFi service.

So that everyone can relax and enjoy the flight, please be mindful of others when using your devices in the cabin.

Keep calls short and your voice low, as sound carries more than you might expect. Voice calls are allowed, but video calls are not. Headphones must be used at all times for calls, audio and video content.

On night flights, when cabin lights are dimmed, calls should be turned off, and noise, screen brightness and device use should be kept to a minimum to avoid disturbing others.

Please make sure any content you view is appropriate for a shared environment. Some websites and services may be restricted.

By accessing and using the WiFi on your flight, you agree that you will not:

Use WiFi in a way that negatively affects others

  • display offensive or distressing content on your device where it can be seen by others

  • use the WiFi service to invade another person’s privacy, or to stalk, harass, threaten or otherwise harm others

Use WiFi for illegal or dishonest activity

  • use the WiFi service for any fraudulent or illegal purpose, or in breach of any applicable laws

  • violate, or encourage others to violate, the rights of third parties, including privacy and intellectual property rights.

Access or share harmful or inappropriate content

You must not transmit or access content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, threatening, abusive, harassing, invasive of privacy or hateful. This includes content that:

  • promotes or condones bigotry, prejudice, racism or hatred

  • is racially, culturally or ethnically offensive

  • provides instruction for illegal activities

  • promotes violence or physical harm against individuals or groups

  • depicts acts of cruelty

  • exploits children or is harmful to minors

  • contains explicit sexual, obscene or pornographic material

  • infringes another person’s rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights

Interfere with the WiFi service or other guests

You must not interfere with the operation or security of the WiFi service, or negatively affect other guests’ use of it. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • uploading or distributing viruses, spyware or other malicious software

  • sending unsolicited messages, advertisements or spam

  • attempting to collect personal information without consent

  • disrupting networks, equipment or servers connected to the WiFi service

  • violating the policies or procedures of connected networks or systems

You must not attempt to carry out, assist with, or permit any of the activities listed above.

If you use the WiFi service in breach of this policy, or behave in a way that disrupts others, Virgin Atlantic may take action in line with our Conditions of Carriage. This may include restricting access to the WiFi service or, where necessary, limiting your ability to travel with us in future.

We also reserve the right to withdraw, restrict or amend the WiFi services available at any time, without notice.
