The Upper Class lowdown
Every seat in Upper Class converts to a fully flat bed of up to 6ft 7in, with direct aisle access, a gourmet dining experience, and access to the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse lounge at LHR, SFO, LAX, JFK, IAD or JNB. On selected A330neo aircraft, six Retreat Suites offer an even more private, spacious configuration, with dual or quad dining and screens up to 32 inches.
Upper Class seats are up to 22 inches wide on A330neo and A330-300 aircraft, and 20 inches wide on the A350-1000. Every seat converts to a fully flat bed measuring up to 6ft 7in (200cm), with a privacy door or divider so you can rest undisturbed. Each seat includes storage and shoe space, a touchscreen with Bluetooth audio, USB-A, USB-C and AC power ports, and wireless charging.
The Retreat Suite is our most spacious Upper Class option, available on selected A330neo aircraft only. Six Retreat Suites are on board, including Window Retreat Suites designed for solo travellers. Each suite comes with extra privacy, more personal space, a touchscreen up to 32 inches, and the option to dine with a companion in pairs or groups of four in central suites. If you want maximum space and privacy, the Retreat Suite is the configuration to look for when booking.
Yes. Every Upper Class seat, on every Virgin Atlantic aircraft, has direct aisle access. You never need to step over another passenger, whether you are settling in for the night or heading to the bar.
It depends on the aircraft. On A330neo and A350 aircraft, The Loft is a relaxed social area where you can gather, work, or stretch out with a coffee. On A350 aircraft, The Booth is a private space for two, with Scottish leather seats, ideal for a dinner or a nightcap together. On A330 and Boeing 787 aircraft, The Bar is available for a drink and a change of scenery mid-flight. On selected A330neo aircraft, the Wander Wall offers self-serve sweet and savoury snacks throughout the flight instead.
Yes. Upper Class seats are available as reward bookings through Flying Club. You can search for available reward seats using our Reward Flight Finder, which shows availability across our routes. The number of points required varies by route, travel dates, and availability.
