The hotel

If you're on the quest for a slice of luxury in an historic location within the heart of New Orleans' French Quarter then look no further than the Hyatt which has access to Bourbon Street as well as wonderful views from above. All of the hotel's guest rooms display a modern design, have 12ft ceilings and are very spacious. If you're looking to relax and regroup then your own peaceful pocket is just moments away in the hotel’s indoor atrium or French Quarter style garden courtyard. Another excellent option is the superb swimming pool which comes complete with bar and courtyard setting to help you relax and unwind prior to experiencing a wealth of on-site dining options. Enjoy casual ambience in the market with Powdered Sugar, traditional seafood dishes at the Red Fish Grill and cocktails and snacks at the Batch Bar. Of course, when you have direct access to the Hard Rock Café, burgers and live music can be quite enticing and thanks to the hotel’s gym you can devour whatever you fancy and still leave room for dessert.

This is the perfect location to enjoy the French Quarter without the noise from Bourbon street (in a pool facing room). We reserved a Petite King room and it was huge and extremely clean! The well-maintained pool was an added bonus and it was the perfect place to escape the July heat. The staff was friendly and efficient. We will definitely stay… Read more

The whole experience was really disappointing, starting with the check in, at almost 2pm there was no room available, when the check out is at 11 am, unless you pay for an upgrade, the parking of course was charged and more expensive if it was a SUV, that is really ridiculous because it should be a service for the customers, but the worst was… Read more

The location is ideal, close enough to walk everywhere but just off of bourbon so it was quite at night. Check in was so fast and easy with 2 free drink tickets. The bartender was great and made the drinks perfect! The king bedroom is spacious and the bed is so comfortable. All staff members were so kind saying hello and chatting, grabbing… Read more

The bartender was great and made the drinks perfect! The king bedroom is spacious and the bed is so comfortable. All staff members were so kind saying hello and chatting, grabbing the elevator for us, taking care of our bags and overall agreeable. The pool was great during the heat and to just lounge. We did not have any food while visiting but hope to next time. The floorplan can be a bit of a maze but okay. Read less

This recent trip was our 4th time to stay at the Hyatt Centric in NOLA. The location is perfect and the staff is always attentive and friendly. The hotel is in good condition and the rooms are always clean. However, this time we ended up being assigned to a room that faced Iberville Street. In the past, we have always had a room that faced the interior courtyard or pool. I DO NOT recommend staying in a room facing the street unless you are ok with extremely loud music coming from cars cruising the street. I'm talking about music that you can feel vibrations from in your room until the early morning hours. Read less
