Hotel information

448 rooms, suites and villas. All with curated custom designed furniture and local art pieces, terrace with lounging area, 55" TV, WiFi access, Bluetooth sound system, conveniently located USB charging stations, free calls to the continental U.S. and Canada, in-room mini-bar (stocked with soda, beer and bottled water), Nespresso™ coffee machine, bathroom with sliding door and sliding window, single rain showers with hand shower, separate shower and WC, double sinks, flat iron, hairdryer, custom bathrobes and slippers, aromatherapy and pillow menu, custom scent amenities, locally sourced soaps, and 24-hour room service. You also benefit from a local host to assist with everyday needs. Alcoba Rooms offer tropical or pool views, and are located close to the lobby. With an outdoor hydro spa tub, and either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

All Inclusive of: all meals, snacks and beverages, as well as access to the fitness centre with visiting instructor programme, daily and nightly events, and all sports and activities unless otherwise stated. 

Room upgrades

Alcoba Ocean View Rooms offer views of the ocean from the private terrace, an outdoor hydro tub, and either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Alcoba Swim-Up Pool Rooms feature direct pool access from the balcony and elevated lounge chairs, with 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Alcoba Ocean Front Rooms feature panoramic views of the ocean from the outdoor hydro spa tub and lounging area, with either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Estancia Suites offer tropical views with a hydro spa tub on the terrace as well as the bathroom, separate living area, and bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Estancia 1-Bedroom Suites feature a large living room, ocean views from the terrace, outdoor hydro tub, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Estancia 2-Bedroom Suites are as above, with the addition of a second bedroom with 2 queen-size beds and a second outdoor hydro tub, sleeping maximum 6 adults.

Mi Carisa (coastal Italian à la carte, open for breakfast and dinner). Cueva Siete (Mexican à la carte, open for dinner). Mura House (Japanese cuisine-teppanyaki and yakitori, open for dinner). 20.87 Restaurant (casual beachside restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Cafe Inez (Fresh juices, coffee, tea and baked goods for breakfast and sandwiches, paninis and meal-sized salads for lunch and dinner). Palmera Lounge (with live entertainment). Bar Balam (cocktail bar). La Botella* (wine store). Poolside and beachside service including snacks and beverages.

Guests staying in the Mexican state Quintana Roo are required to pay a travel tax of $11 per adult (over 15 years old). The payment can be made prior to travel, upon arrival or during your stay, as the tax will be imposed upon departure. There is also an additional Environmental Sanitation Tax of $4.25 USD per room, per night that will be added to your hotel bill (payable locally, subject to change).

The best service!!! Carlos & Eduardo were our butlers and they were the best!! From the pool staff to the housekeepers- everyone was friendly, helpful and fun! The hotel is beautiful. The food and cocktails are top notch. We had the best week leading up to my husbands birthday!

We had an incredible time at Unico. The facilities were gorgeous and well kept and the staff was so lovely and attentive. We loved our room with the soaking tub and were at the pool every day. I didn’t rate it a full 5 stars because we felt like we weren’t given a proper introduction upon arrival. The staff person that met with us very briefly reviewed the amenities with us but spent most of the time trying to sell us on excursions packages and get us to commit to a sales presentation. Throughout the trip we felt unaware of restaurant schedules and had no idea there was a night club until the last day, so this was a big miss for us as we felt they weren’t focused on making sure we were comfortable in the space but more so upselling us. Additionally, it would have been nice if there were a lunch and dinner buffet as a casual dining option outside of the restaurants. At other resorts the buffet was a nice choice because the selection was changed up every day offering some variety outside of the snack bar and other restaurants. I would have liked to have seen some kind of street food element incorporated too, like a taco hut on the beach or near the pool. Other than that, as a matcha lover I would have loved to see it at the Cafe Inez but that is just personal preference. Read less

What makes it even better is the friendly and knowledgeable staff we encountered. Service This was our second time to be at this resort. This time around The concierge assigned to us Carlos and Eduardo were fabulous. They made our stay very welcoming. We found them to be knowledgeable friendly and attentive. A good team! The hostess at the restaurants ( 2087, Mi Carisa and cueva siete - Ximena were very friendly ). Servers at the restaurants and pool were also very friendly. Special mention to Mariana- Mi Carisa, Lisbeth - pool and servers at 20 87. Rooms were clean and tidy. Rooms are cleaned twice daily . Atmosphere good vibes We thought the food presentation this time more appealing than before. We of course enjoyed our food. Felt happy as we left means we had a great time. Read less
