Antigua Sailing Week takes place each year at the end of April, and attracts world-class sailors and sailboats. The whole island joins in as thousands of yachts arrive from all over the world to experience the week long regatta.
Shirley Heights Jump Up
Go on a Sunday evening for a truly life-affirming view, the island's finest bands and some delisciouly fresh grilled seafood.
Carnival
Takes place on the first Monday and Tuesday in August in St John's, with 'Queen' contests, a kiddie's carnival, calypso tents and dazzling and colourful costumes parading through the streets.
Sea for miles
While famous for parties and music on a Sunday night, the Heights are also worth a morning visit. It's a steep climb about 2 miles from English Harbour, but it's well worth it.
