Fantastic Location Near the Downtown

The location is really wonderful - it's just minutes walking to the downtown area and a few extra minutes to get to the riverfront. I would suggest booking an early slot (it does cost extra) if you're going to arrive before 3pm because they seem very busy and we arrived around 1 and still had to wait to 2 so don't expect to be able to get into…

The location is really wonderful - it's just minutes walking to the downtown area and a few extra minutes to get to the riverfront. I would suggest booking an early slot (it does cost extra) if you're going to arrive before 3pm because they seem very busy and we arrived around 1 and still had to wait to 2 so don't expect to be able to get into your room without booking an early check-in.
The room was great. Bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was super clean. The television got a lot of channels. It wasn't noisy at all. The shower was very good, although took awhile to heat up. The elevator was a bit slow and crowded but depending on your floor and mobility the stairs are a great option.
The on-site restaurant was closed while we were there but they did have a bar and breakfast items for sale. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance if you want a meal. We got a great recommendation during the evening for a burger place about a block away so staff definitely is knowledgeable about the area and willing to direct you places.
My only negative was the parking. The hotel really wants you to take advantage of their valet parking which is $30 plus taxes per day and it's a rip off. We parked across the street in one of the numerous public parking garages that dot the area and it was open 24 hours with access to your car and based on a much cheaper rate. We saved a lot of money that way and I didn't love how the hotel tried to insist you needed to valet park and there was no self parking when clearly there are a lot of cheaper options right in the area.
I recommend Savannah as a destination. This hotel was great and in April it was very affordable. It was busy but aside from elevator waits, it never felt noisy or crowded and it a great landing spot if you want to see the area on foot.

Good Overall Value and Location!

We enjoyed our 3-night stay at this clean hotel in a very convenient location. Staff was very friendly. Only negative is the $30/night valet parking so we chose to self-park 2 nights across the street in the same garage where the valet parks. We saved about $40 by self-parking.
Ok but not great

Great location (walking distance to many restaurants and other attractions), accommodating staff but room lighting was a bit off (not enough) and it would have been nice if there was a towel rack in the bathroom. Good stay overall but nothing special.
Great hotel in Savannah

The TRYP Wyndham hotel was a friendly, clean hotel in a great location. 10-15 min walk to the Market and Broughton street shops.
Would highly recommend to stay here. They are pet friendly if you need and have an easy set up for valet if you drive here.
