Moon Palace Cancun

We stayed as a couple at the Moon Palace for one week in May. We found there everything an all-inclusive hotel should have. The ability to move easily back and forth from the Nizuc to the Sunrise was a real treat as you never were confined to just one hotel area. The restaurants are varied and the food excellent and plentiful. The lobby activities and early entertainment in them are perfect for a relaxed and casual setting. The many pools and bars can keep you busy all day long. Again, entertainment makes the day. Rock Legacy had the entire pool crowd on their feet both in the water and out. But above and beyond all this was the service. The warm and professional staff were just amazing. In every area we travelled, people were kind, attentive and fun. Zacarias and Ruben in the Sky Lounge made you feel like you were at home. And Gertrudes made you feel like family. Christopher at the Pub was just a funny guy. As for the day service, Victoria, the Manager of Restaurants, was right there to answer any question we had, no matter what effort it took. And Vanessa at the Bugambilias Buffet was there at 6:45 first thing in the morning with the brightest smile and she remembered us day after day by name. What a great start to the day! Lunch at the pool at Pier 8 was one of the best buffets and after we complimented Andres on the food selection and preparation, he went through the trouble of bringing out the chef and then arranging a personalized meal ready for us the very next day right at the noon hour when we arrived. Served elegantly by Emmanuel, it was better than many dinners we have experienced elsewhere in other resorts. Lastly, I need to make a strong point to be in the lobby at 8 on Wednesdays to enjoy Paolo De La Fuente. His singing and piano playing were a real treat. Varied music, talented arrangements and just a lot of fun. The one thing this hotel location does not have is a great ocean. We were disappointed when we first arrived, but the service, warmth of the staff, the pools and the entertainment more than made up for it. We’re currently enjoying a truly beautiful stay at Moon Palace Cancún, thanks to my parents’ membership. The grounds are stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful, and it’s been the kind of restful break our family really needs. We have six young children, work in nonprofit and foster care, and vacations like this are a rare and incredibly meaningful gift to help us reset and reconnect. As part of our stay, we attended one of the membership presentations. The first two team members we met with were kind, gracious, and respectful. They affirmed that there was no pressure and encouraged us to enjoy our vacation no matter what. We left those conversations feeling seen and valued. Unfortunately, the tone changed drastically when a third representative joined. He was dismissive, condescending, and made us feel uncomfortable—asking us to sign a paper saying we’d never attend one of these presentations again, simply because we weren’t ready to commit financially right now. It felt unnecessarily harsh and left a bad taste during an otherwise wonderful experience. We still love the resort, and we’re soaking up the rest of our time here—but I hope leadership sees this as helpful feedback. Consistency in kindness and respect matters—especially in places meant to bring people joy. Read less

Excellent, great accommodations and excellent meals. My family was happy as was I. The pool and drinks were excellent. We also visited the Moon Palace The Grand and had a lot of fun on the slides and in the game room. I also lost my phone, and the friendly receptionists helped us get it back. Thank you! My son went to the Flowrider surfing area and it was a lot of fun, although he lost his bracelet when he fell on this ride. Jesus and Moises from the reception area were very kind and helped us get it back. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and we will be visiting this hotel again soon. Read less

Moon Palace Cancun Trip from February 15 through February 22, 2025. Our family had a wonderfully relaxing and extremely enjoyable stay at Moon Palace Nuzic. When we checked in we had a wonderful greeting from Diamond Concierge Isabell. Isabell was great to check us in right away and make sure all of our questions were answered and that our itinerary was in order. The weather was amazing during out stay as we had below zero Fahrenheit temperatures and lots of snow back home. The lobby at Nuzic is beautiful and you can have a seat at the bar area, head to several restaurants, or the Pub, but most importantly the little bakery to get sandwiches, cake, coffee, crepes or ice cream. If getting ice cream Jorge Alejandro and Jesus at the Boulangerie at The Grand. Getting around Moon Palace resort is easy. Head to one of the golf cart stops and review the map and see where you would like to go and then find the letter route(s) you need to take to get your destination. When you see your cart with the letter on it, hop on board and you are on your way. We had excellent drivers for our family of Francisco, Yair, Milo, Javier, Pablo, Ismael, Edgar, Darwin and Gil. So many activities to do during the day at all three resorts at Moon Palace- Sunrise, Nuzic and The Grand. Activities including the beach, pools, activities set up by the activities staff, excursions off resort property, the spa, and golf. it is hard to decide what you want to do first. We always enjoy the pools either just relaxing on the lounge chairs, floating in the pool, or watching or participating in the events put on by the activities staff. In addition, the wait staff do an excellent job of making sure you have the beverages from standard drinks to wonderful resort drinks like Bumble Bee or Scooby shots or the food you need from the poolside menu. I always recommend the Cuban sandwich, the Palace Burger and the boneless wings tossed in BBQ sauce, oh so good! If you would like an adults only pool/night club experience, I recommend the Unique Pool at the Grand. Unique has a DJ, live musicians and dancers while relax in the many pool areas and hot tubs. There are cabana’s available with bottle service purchased. The seafood buffet for lunch at Unique is amazing and worth a stroll over just to have lunch. At Unique we received excellent service from Pool Concierge Hector and waitstaff Melisa. We received excellent service at all the other pools we visited from Pool Concierges: Suleymi, Jose Francisco, (In Training Concierge) Alejandro, Hector, and Cristina. The Pool Waitstaff was amazing as always and received excellent service from: Rosa, Raul, Reyna, Roman, Beatriz Manazno, Stephany. The Spa’s at Moon Palace are fantastic to get relaxed or receive face and/or body treatments you cannot go wrong. For those of you with little Princesses, the Princess treatment for hair and makeup at the Spa at the Golf Course will make them feel like they are a fairy tale princess. At the AWE Spa at the Grand, the water journey is a must before your massage or treatments. The sauna’s are quite therapeutic and so, so good for you. The relaxation pool at the end of the journey is magical as well. I highly recommend the hot stone massage, however, I will need to try the four hands synchronized massage at some point as I have heard from others the total relaxation achieved. We received excellent service from masseuses: Silvia and Viviana. Earlier I mentioned Unique Pool which also happens to be the name of the Night Club at the Grand and there is also a Night Club at Sunrise called Noir. The Night Clubs alternate locations each night and are closed on Sunday night. In both locations this is the place to dance to the music provided by the DJ’s. There is a VIP area with tables available with purchases bottle service. Great dance floor and wonderful bar service. We received excellent service from: Kenia Castro and Eduardo. Before I get to one of the other wonderful reasons to stay at Moon Palace, the dining options, I wanted to let you know about an activity that one of our couples thoroughly enjoyed, the Romantic Dinner. This activity requires reservations and there is a separate cost for this numerous course dinner, but well worth it to celebrate an anniversary, honeymoon, or just reconnect romantically. Each course is a culinary journey for your pallet that is amazing with a romantic setting and soft live music. Our couple received excellent service from Alexander Morales for the dinner. The dining options at Moon Palace are fantastic and the Chef’s, Manager’s and the Staff’s go out of their way to make sure it is excellent food and an excellent experience. In a one week stay there is no way to get to all of the restaurants, so pick out the cuisine types you are interested in and make a plan for your stay. Please note that all dinners require reservations at the restaurants, which can be made for the week once you have checked into the property. I will highlighting our dining experiences from our stay. You need to start your day with breakfast and the two places we like are Cusco and Habibi. Cusco has a buffet style set-up with an eggs made to order station as well. So many great choices of all of your favorites. We received excellent service from Itzel, who makes great pancakes and waffles; Adriana at the omelette station who makes great fried eggs and omelettes. Our waitstaff was excellent in making sure all was good and refills were flowing continuously by Yulisa and Martin. The manager Maria was excellent in making sure our experience was great and assisting with any of our needs in addition to the waitstaff. Cusco is another good choice for breakfast and the Kachapuri is amazing. It is a bread boat with cheese and an egg baked together. When it is delivered to your table the waitstaff mixes up the cheese and egg together for you and it tastes delicious. For lunch you have several options as well, including pool side menu, the buffets, or our personal favorite Los Tacos. So many taco options to choose from which include some of our favorites: From San Pancho which is a fish taco, Al Pastor which is a pork taco and The Cure for the Irish Flu which has beef barbacoa and there are so many more to choose from as well. We received excellent service from both waitstaff Luis HiChem and Luis. Dinner options are plentiful with so many choices for different cuisine types to accommodate any particular palate. At Sunrise you have Momo table service for Asian cuisine and Ricardo the manager and his staff do an excellent job to provide an amazing experience. If you like steak at the Grand you have JC Steakhouse and The Grill. Both have an amazing selection of steak and other items to delight you. At JC Steakhouse the manager Antonio provides exceptional service and leads the staff to provide an amazing eating experience. Besides excellent service from Antonio we also received excellent service from waitstaff Juan and Luis. At The Grill, if you have Juan Carlos for the waitstaff you will experience a true showman of presentation and service. Juan Carlos is simply amazing. We also received excellent service from Richard as well. Another excellent option for Italian at Sunrise is Gondola. Wonderful pasta dishes to enjoy and for dessert the stracciatella gelato is great. Every restaurant has an amazing selection of wines to choose from an we received amazing recommendations and truly exceptional service from the Somalia Walter. We received excellent service from the waitstaff team of Pedro and Carolina. At The Grand an excellent option for French cuisine is LeChateau. The beef tartar and the ratatouille is excellent. When entering you are greeted warmly by Kenya and we received excellent service from waitstaff Angel. After dinner enjoy a show with either a Michael Jackson impersonator or dancing, comedy or the best show, David Magee an excellent mentalist. So much fun to see one of the shows. I cant say enough wonderful things about this resort! This was my 3rd time at the moon palace. I went the 1st time for my honeymoon 20yrs ago and stayed at sunrise, last year came back and stayed again at sunrise. This year went as a mother daughter trip and stayed at nizuc. Each time was an awesome trip. The resort itself is stunning! It's extremely clean, the food and drinks are amazing! But the best part of the resort is the staff! They are so accommodating and truly make staying there so pleasurable! Last year my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visits to swing bar and the bartender Rueben was fantastic. This year my daughter and I had the pleasure of having a server from the restaurant asadero during the lunch hours named Josue Pineda...and he literally made us feel like family! He gave excellent recommendations on good food and drinks. He was absolutely the best! We definitely plan on coming back soon! Read less
