Throwing you into the full Atlantis experience, The Royal is as legendary as the myths that inspired and infuse them. The architecture, the artwork, the adventures — each have a cheeky nod to the Lost City of Atlantis, but the well-dressed rooms and suites are a little less kitsch, coming with French or full balconies and views over the terraces, water, or harbour. Their spot on Atlantis Paradise Island puts you right by Atlantis Casino and at the heart of the world’s largest outdoor ‘marine habitat’ — with 14 lagoons and more than 50,000 aquatic residents, from sharks to barracuda. The island’s other fabled fun’s yours for the taking too, whether its experiencing rides or slides at the 141-acre Aquaventure waterscape; snorkelling the ‘ruins’ at Atlantis; or kicking back at one of its 21 restaurants and 19 bars.

We stayed at The Royal Atlantis for 7 days as a family, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet our expectations. • Room Cleanliness & Amenities: The room was not properly cleaned upon arrival, and throughout our stay, basic items like cardboard cups and coffee capsules were not replenished. There were no water dispensers on any of the hotel floors, which is surprising for a hotel of this category. To get water, you had to walk all the way to the pool area, where the water was extremely warm and unpleasant to drink. There were also no ice machines available for refilling water bottles, unlike most hotels of this level. • Food & Dining: The value for money in terms of food was very poor. We paid premium prices for meals that were mediocre at best, especially at Bimini Road and Silan. The quality simply didn’t match the cost. • Staff & Service: The staff seemed disengaged and unmotivated. We found them to be unhelpful and not particularly welcoming, which added to the overall frustration. • Family-Friendliness: Although the hotel is marketed as family-friendly, it’s not well-suited for families with children. By 9:00 PM, everything for kids was closed, and you couldn’t enter most areas with them. There were no organized activities for children, and shockingly, access to the kids club required an extra fee—something we’ve never encountered before. •Pool Area Maintenance: The pool surroundings were constantly wet and messy, and we never saw anyone cleaning or maintaining the area. Overall, our experience was far from positive. For the price we paid, we expected much better service, amenities, and attention to families. Sadly, we would not recommend The Royal Atlantis to others, especially those traveling with children. Read less

I stayed at the Royal Atlantis resort which is my 2nd time. The renovated rooms are very nice and the resort is in the middle of all the action so I love that. The pool and beach loungers are showing their age as many of the canopies were broken and not usable.

We had a wonderful visit to the Atlantis! We stayed at the Royal Suites and April Adderly (Manager of VIP Services) was amazing! We had a rough start as our luggage didn’t arrive until the next day but April made our family feel very comfortable and she followed up with us throughout our stay there. We are already planning our next visit!
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Atlantis is older, but still great

Look - Atlantis is older, but it’s still iconic and we had a great time!!! The staff was awesome. The food is great (expensive but great) we stayed on the resort for all meals. If we went off the resort we could have cut the cost of meals by 70percent. We will be back again soon
Image of the Tripadvisor rating The locations are nice but the price is too high for what you get

The hotel is big, very nice but the food is very bad, junk and too expensive, you don't eat well in the snacks or in the restaurants
