All-suite and all-inclusive, the Ravenala Attitude is styled in contemporary, colonial and tropical hues. With an open-plan, no boundaries design, the restaurants and bars flow seamlessly towards the pool, gardens and beach beyond. But it’s not all about appearances — it goes deeper. Its ‘Culinary Voyage’ takes you from Asia to Italy in nine restaurants, seven of which you can sample as part of your All-Inclusive package. You can tuck into 'Granmamas' Mauritian fare at Kot Nou, street-food takeaways on the beach at Taba-J, and enjoy the romance of the floating Riviera restaurant. The kids' clubs provide various fun activities, whilst the Sport Village and Boat House offer endless diversions, from kayaking along Rivière Citron to riverbank yoga. And the hotel's ‘Otentik’ concept gives you a true insight into Mauritius, in cookery classes, local music, a self-guided tours app, and a weekly ‘Otentik Bazar’, with all profits from the ‘made in Mauritius’ goodies going to the craftspeople. You can even dine on ‘Otentik Dinners’ with locals in their homes. This charming resort is great for families, with large rooms and a range of activities, whilst couples will love staying in the Executive Seafront Adult Suites in the adults-only section.

We had a wonderful experience at the Ravenala, and it all started before we even arrived at the hotel. We decided to get married in Mauritius during a family holiday, and Vanisha from the events team saw to all our needs. From suggesting the best secluded location on the resort, to sourcing flowers, catering and the photographer. Once we arrived at the hotel, we were upgraded for free to an apartment instead of the standard family room, which set the tone for the rest of our stay. We felt so looked after and the staff could not do enough for us. Ismail from the guest services team regularly checked in to ensure our stay was great and helped my parents when there was an unfortunate leak in their bathroom. It was swiftly sorted! There is plenty on offer at the resort, with amazing restaurants, water activities, a great kids club and large pools. The resort is on the North-west of the island, which means the most amazing sunsets too! We were so sad to leave after our 12-night break, especially when members of the staff waved us off as we sat in our transfer to the airport, as though we were family. If you are looking for the perfect family resort with an authentic Mauritian feel, look no further than the Ravenala! Read less

Just returned after 9 nights at this wonderful hotel with my husband and two teenage daughters. Check in was friendly and refreshing with Alesssndra who looked after us and always checked in with us during our stay. Thank you Alessandra and already missing you ! Then we have the friendly entertainment team who engaged us all in various activities on the beach and evenings. In particular Anousha and I played Karem competitions on the beach and I loved every minute of the game . Michael also did an amazing water aerobics class and was great at involving my daughters in volley ball and other activities. Big shout out to mauva who always got us dancing with the great music played whilst DJing . Raju at the bar made the best drinks ! Then there is Kamlesh Bhai on the juice hut who prepared the sweetest juiciest coconuts for us too! Food was great and there were plenty of great options including gluten free for myself . Akash at the restaurant was also looked after us during our meal at the buffet restaurant. Staying at this hotel felt like I made another family in Mauritius. Would love to return one day again . Thank you all Read less

We enjoyed 7 nights at the Ravenala at the end of July. We arrived mid morning and although our rooms were not ready we could enjoy lunch and drinks as part of the all inclusive package. There was a shower room to refresh. We were welcomed with tea and refreshing hot flannels. Our bedrooms were located next to each other (2 rooms) which was ideal. The rooms very extremely spacious and had a lovely feel to them, relaxed decor. Lots of storage space too. Very comfy beds! We didn’t need the air con; but it was effective. The beach is a real plus; lots of loungers and lovely safe swimming bay. Pool area was nice too, and staff were regularly cleaning the pool. Watersports included in AI was a bonus! Beach bar very nice with lots of comfy seating! Towel exchange at beach good with nice big towels! We ate in a few of the restaurants as part of the AI, they book up quickly so best to plan on arrival. The main buffet was fairly good, although the food was a little cold one night when we went later in the evening. Good vegan choices. Madam Mings was very good along with the Mediterranean restaurant. O Beach offers nice candlelight dining on the sand. Overall a lovely stay, would recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing break, in a chilled out beach environment. Read less

On arrival I was very much looking forward to our stay. Room was big and spacious but smells musty and damp. But the biggest let down by far is the food. We are having to wait several days to eat anywhere except the buffet restaurant as they are all fully booked. The food in the buffet is bland, mushy and sloppy with the meat being very flabby. How this gets a four star rating is beyond me. Watch out for Captain David and his boat trips which are nearly twice the price of anywhere else! Having said that the bar staff are all very nice.
