    Nestled on the secluded island of Kedhigandu, Hotel RIU Palace Maldivas offers an exclusive retreat where you can unwind in overwater villas or beachfront suites with modern comforts and breathtaking views. Featuring several dining options, including buffet and à la carte restaurants serving a variety of international cuisines, you can also enjoy delicious meals and snacks at the neighbouring Hotel RIU Atoll as part of their 24-hour, All-Inclusive package. There are plenty of activities to enjoy too, both on land and in the water - relax by the infinity pool, or hop over to Hotel RIU Atoll to indulge in spa treatments, or make a splash with the water sports on offer such as snorkelling, diving, and kayaking.

    Where is it

    On the private island of Kedhigandu, part of Dhaalu Atoll. The resort is connected to the hotel RIU Atoll via a walkway. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 55 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

    176 rooms. All with balcony or terrace, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite TV, drink dispensers, mini-bar, kettle, hairdryer, bathrobes, complimentary WiFi access, and safe. 

    Junior Suites with sea views have 1 king-size bed or two small double beds, plus a sofa in the lounge area, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

    24-hour All-Inclusive: all meals and snacks. Local and imported beverages served 24-hours a day (including bars and restaruants at Hotel RIU Atoll). Regularly restocked mini-bar. Sports, activities and entertainment unless otherwise stated. Room service.

    - Breakfast: varied buffet, live cooking station and Cava

    - Lunch: buffet with live cooking stations and assorted desserts

    - Dinner: buffet with live cooking stations and assorted desserts. Special evenings: twice a week.

    Junior Suites with beach access have 1 king-size bed or two small double beds, plus a sofa or sofa-bed in the lounge area, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

    Overwater Suites feature a terrace with bathtub, a Balinese bed, sun loungers and direct access to the sea. Suites have 1 king-size bed or two small double beds plus a sofa in the lounge area, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

    Spacious Overwater Suites with private pool boast a patio with direct access to the sea, a small private pool, a Balinese bed and sun loungers. Suites have 1 king-size bed or two small double beds plus a sofa in the lounge area, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

    Palm (buffet restaurant with live cooking stations and outdoor terrace, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner). Krystal (fusion restaurant, open for dinner). Yu Hi (Japanese restaurant, open for dinner). Paradise (poolside bar serving snacks and drinks, with swim-up bar for guests over 18 years).

    Live music (several times a week). 

    Infinity swimming pool. Sports and activities at RUI Atoll including: gym, group fitness activities in the RiuFit area (six times a week), Renova spa*, kayaks, pedaloes, stand up paddle surf and snorkelling equipment. Daytime entertainment programme for children ages 4-7 years and ages 8-12 years at "RiuLand" at Hotel RUI Atoll.

    We had a fantastic stay at the RIU Palace Maldives. The hotel was outstanding & the staff were incredible they all went above & beyond for us. The food was incredible with lots off choice. The hotel was absolutely spotless ❤️.

    Well overdue review! Visited in January 2024 for a 4-night stay with my family of 4 to celebrate my 50th. Arrived to the resort via a boat as it was late at night. Smooth check in. We had 2 rooms - both were the overwater villa with the private plunge pool. I was so happy with the setup of the villa. Absolutely loved the pool and how we were able to take the steps down into the ocean; after we no longer saw any rays or sharks…LOL. Our unit was closer to the buffet restaurant so we walked. However, there is a golf cart that would pass by to pick up and drop off folks; which was convenient especially for my mother who is a senior. Was able to secure a dinner reservation at one of the restaurants the night of my birthday. Food was great, and the dessert was fantastic! The ONLY downside was that we encountered a couple of roaches that last 2 nights. Cleaners did what they can, but we had to make sure that we didn’t have any stowaway pets upon leaving. We were fortunate to leave the resort via a seaplane. It’s a must-do, if you’ve never experienced it before. It was giving Fantasy Island vibes! I would go back, in a few years though since it’s so far to get to from Canada. Read less
