Over the past twenty five years, I have visited this hotel on multiple occasions. While I appreciate its location, I must express my disappointment that the hotel has not maintained the standards I had encountered in the past. Check-in was relatively smooth, despite the high volume of guests. However, the large two-tower nature of the hotel can sometimes lead to congestion. Our room was somewhat satisfactory, although the mirror in the bedroom was not cleaned. Unfortunately, the hair/body soap were not of the highest quality, and the hairdryer was not functioning. Despite my request for a hairdryer, we were not provided with one until after a 40-minute wait, so we decided to head out and explore with wet hair…which is not the end of the world. The bed was comfortable, but the room was noisy due to our location in downtown Toronto, which is prone to traffic and sirens. We know the hotel cannot control this external factor. On one occasion, when we returned to the hotel, we, along with other guests, encountered an issue with the doors on Walton Street, which is off Young Street. The doors were locked, and we were directed to enter through Gerrard Street. While this was a short walk, it was unclear why these doors closed so early. Considering the price of the room, I did not feel that it was worth the experience. I would have preferred to spend a few more dollars and stay in a more modern and updated establishment. While the hotel may be suitable for young individuals seeking a convenient location, it is not worth the cost for those who prioritize comfort and amenities. Read less

Hard to plug anything in with an adapter attached. Unfortunately there is a massive building site next door, though I didn't hear much noise. Lifts were excellent. Breakfast options pretty good. Very nice little patio area with some outdoor games for children. Staff generally very helpful eg with taxis, and especially grateful to security staff who tried very hard and very patiently to help my cousin who had left her cell phone in a taxi! Read less

This hotel is certainly out dated. Bathroom has fixtures from days gone by. Certainly over priced for so called" 5 star rating" 1.5 stars is all it deserves. Need to step up your game Chelsea Toronro.
