The daily fruit platter was greatly appreciated. The reusable water bottles with the resort 's name were gifted to us. The " star" of the Sarojin is already mentioned by many, an all-day available a la carte breakfast with freshly baked croissants and pastries, freshly squeezed juices, guava being my favourite, a sparkling wine and a generous choice of the delicious dishes. We had a delightful holiday there and an article in The I Paper on 7th July reminded me to write a review. Emma Faeatherstone's "Match made in heaven" described The Sarojin so perfectly. This is not a large hotel which is really good, there is a delightful pool and a couple of minutes walk away you are on the beach. A delightful long sandy beach where you can go to other restaurants and bars. We found that the all day breafast that they serve is brilliant. First thing in the morning you can fruit and a cup of coffee or two in the room. Then around 1pm go and have your brunch. Everything is prepared and cooked freshly. No standing around a help yourself display of food. Everything is brought to you at your table by charming members of staff. This also included complimentary sparking wine with the breakfast. We ate at some of the local beachside restaurants every other night and on the other night ate at The Edge restaurant by their beach bar. The food was superb - Thai and South East Asian and would highly recommend it. During our stay it was my wife's birthday. We were told that someone looked at our passports and spotted her date of birth during our visit. We ll what a treat (and a good thing I had remembered to bring her a card) as the bed was beautifuly decorated and next thing we were given an upgrade in one of their first floor very spacious suites complete with jacuzzi. It also had an outside shower that was perfect in the hot February weather. It was very kind of the management to offer this "birthday" upgrade but the ground floor room we were in was fantastic as well. The Sarojin also offers the use of mountain bikes, but you want to go out early to avoid the heat. It was really interesting cycling around the area and seeing the area affected by the tsunami in 2004 that also delayed the building of the hotel. Apparently the warning sirens in the area are regularly tested. We took a couple of local tours that are organised by the hotel. You go out in one of their black Ford SUVs and on each occasion Sonya from the hotel was our tour guide. It is well worth seeing the local area. Hopefully one day we will go back, after The Sarojin I will always being searching for a boutique size resort that offers an all day breakfast. Read less
