As someone else commented noise from neighbours conversation on balconies beside our room, virtually no privacy on balconies , and doors to hallways and balconies bang shut… and made our walls reverberate.
Rooms very hot , had to have windows wide open and door to balcony propped open, NO A/C!! Therefore outside noise filtered in. Dog next door barking
People on balconies having phone conversations People obviously leaving 0600hr having pictures on balcony laughing and carrying on
Place is way over priced. Can’t even get a coffee/tea without paying extra.

From Paddy greeting us, Jose at the front desk & the servers at the bar and restaurants really made this an exceptional experience. And can’t forget the beautiful Golden Retriever, such a sweetheart & great canine ambassador!

They pay attention to details and details matter to me. Not once have I heard “ I don’t know “. I can’t say enough about the JPL team of staff members. They are a group of Incredible, talented, passionate individuals.
No matter if you are seeking help of a front desk staff, concierge , house keeping, shuttle staff, restaurant staff, gift shop or the gallery, each and every experience was warm, friendly and pleasant. I commend the management!!!
JPL provides fun and exciting options like photography workshops, picnic baskets, yoga, Pilates and AquaFit classes to enhance your experience and helps you create unique memories. Even if all you wanted was to just go for walks, there are some nice trails and the concierge is there to assist. Simple pleasures like watching the sunrise is an experience in itself.
I had the pleasure of dining at their restaurants and every meal was delicious. You can’t go wrong period.
Their Spa experience takes you to whole new level of rejuvenation. It provides a relaxation haven and surpasses expectations. I can keep going on and on …
Simply put, it’s a heavenly getaway!

Underwhelming and Overpriced

We have visited many Fairmont Resort Properties and have loved them. We would not come back to this one, nor encourage anyone else to. Even after the construction has finished!! Honestly, take away the resort fee. We woke up to hammering at 8am. Have that that be a $50 credit for noise and construction inconvenience. This fee brought our bill up to over $420. We asked for a late checkout of 1 pm to compensate and they gave us til 12. Really?? And then upon checkout offered a complimentary coffee.
The room was not impressive by any means. The washroom was so small we had to back in and out of it. No room for 2, actually barely even for 1.
We sat under a broken umbrella at the pool. The pool was full of dead flies and insect and we could feel grit under foot. The Orso Restaurant for dinner that we had wanted to try only opens from Wednesday to Saturday and we were there from Sunday to Tuesday. So unfortunate. A massage for 2 we inquired about was over $900 for 90 min after tax and tip!
The exorbitant cost does not fit in any way what you get for an old, under construction resort.
We wanted to support Jasper after the fires. But there’s a limit. The town itself is amazing. Awesome restaurants that we took full advantage of. And we’ll be back, but to another accommodation. In a time of tariffs, economy bleakness, and a town that was ravaged by fires, draw people in with an honest fee. There needs to be some perk for honest travellers that want to help. We feel JPL is not helping this situation.

Great Service from Kiran V at Emerald Restaurant
Mar 25, 2025Conal T
Kiran V and the whole team at the Emerald restaurant were just incredible. Some of the best food I’ve ever had with outstanding service.
He was always kind and very attentive. Our children loved the atmosphere. It was like being in a bit of a time machine while also being very comfortable.
