I actually could have lived with the crowded, slow elevators at the Sheraton Fallsview and rude service at Massimos, the in house Italian restaurant. because the room had a great view and was squeaky clean. My low rating is because of the insincere Welcome Note and after stay email from the General Manager. He provided his contact information and invited me to contact him in case anything was not up to my expectations. When we had to wait over one hour to retrieve our car from Valet Parking at $65 a night, we were lied to by the man at concierge who had taken our key, watched male guests getting their car in 10 minutes and I mailed this upsetting incident to the General Manager and received no reply. Not a " let me check into this", nothing. Perhaps this is how female guests are treated at the Sheraton? I don't think this manager lives up to the wonderful service provided by the Marriott group. I may have to go back to Hilton and IHG, or pick a Marriott that's not a Sheraton. Read less

The room was nice, no major issues. I felt the room amenities could’ve been a little better given the price. It felt a little basic, but it was very clean and had all the standard amenities. The AC didn’t seem to keep the room as cold as I’d like, but it kept it cool enough. Parking was a little pricey ($45 a day), which I don’t recall seeing when I booked, so take note. The lobby was crazy busy so I just avoided the common areas. Location was about as good as it could be. Clifton Hills and the Falls were right outside the hotel doors. Overall excellent, but a couple things to note before you book. Read less

Manage your expectations and you'll find this to be an excellent property for its uses. If you can look past some issues, then this is the best property to book in Niagara for the combination of location and view. The bad - Check-in and checkout is a nightmare given the sheer numbers of people waiting (lines for counters and sitting in lobby waiting for rooms). The surprise, which most would not think about - is lines for elevators just to get up to your room. (Literally took 25 min to get to the room)- after already waiting once for check-in and then again to pick up keys after we were notified the room was ready. Also food was basic so we opted to eat off property for all meals. Room amenities ( slippers, soap) were sheraton quality basic, BUT the towels were new and fresh! Outdoor pool was packed liked sardines, but indoor pool was a safe haven for younger kids to swim peacefully and a needed respite from the severe heat wave. Front desk staff were hit or miss. Requests for late check out wasn't honored (I had to negotiate for this despite having already been told it was approved). My room key card stopped working on the last day and it took 3 trips back down to reception to fix (waiting 5-10 min for elevators down and up each time with tired annoyed kids etc). Front desk staff need to be more efficient or trained better. The Good- views and proximity to the main street, we splurged for a Corner Canadian fall view room - this is one property where the view matters- Fireworks view at night from the balcony/ windows, two TVs, sofa bed... kids really loved it.. Better yet, the bathroom was sleek, modern, very clean and great showers. Housekeeping and support staff were ON TOP OF IT. Calls for service requests (towels, water, soap etc) had very fast response times (faster than Ritz and Four Seasons properties I've been to!). The valet / parking attendants and bellman were very helpful, efficient, and hard working. Self parking was easy next door with walk away to the hotel (don't need to do valet!). Great breakfast options on the lobby level with an attached gift shop (10% discount of you charge to your room which no one at the front desk would tell me, but the shop told me after I asked). Wish we had stayed another 2 nights. When we come back to Niagara, we will surely come back to this resort if it's with the kids, or the Embassy Suites if we want a higher luxury feel experience for the couple. A local who worked at the hotel recommended the Embassy Suites for a more exclusive couples trip. Read less

I am actually pretty upset about my experience with this hotel. It was a long awaited once in a lifetime trip and sadly it has been spoilt by too many issues and how they were dealt with afterwards by one of the managers. At nearly $1000 a night, I saved up for a long time to come only to wish I hadn't. I have been offered a small partial refund but nowhere near what it should be and have been personally blamed by the manager for not knowing how to deal with some of the things I've raised, for example apparently I could have requested seating for the balcony. I've never stayed in a hotel where I've had to request my own seating so how on earth would I know this was even a possibility? First of all I had an extremely poor night's sleep due to the high pitch buzzing of the fridge. This is yet to even be acknowledged by the manager I've been corresponding with. They have focussed on the smaller challenges to make it sound like I've been unreasonable. A bare minimum in a hotel is a room you can sleep in. I couldn't sleep because of the fridge noise. Secondly, the decor was worn and tired which isn't acceptable for nearly $1000 a night.  A few other things: There was no robe/dressing gown so I had to ring down to get one brought. The text message system to contact the desk didn't work. The pool area was very poor for an expensive hotel. Incredibly disappointing. The much anticipated corner balcony looked awful and didn't even have a simple chair on it. What's the point in having it without seating? There was no net curtain or curtain on the balcony door/window leaving lots of light in the room. The manager later stated this was to allow people to see the view but this window isn't even visible from the bed or sofa so something doesn't add up. The room was extremely dusty, suggesting poor cleaning practices. The charging unit next to the bed was disgustingly dirty. Even in very cheap hotels, I've never seen anything so sticky and grimy. It must be many months since it was last even wiped. The hair conditioner ran out. Mid shower I could hardly ring down for a top up.  The hotel didn't appear full and I checked in, in decent time and yet was still given quite a low floor which impacted the view and enjoyment. I had specifically requested a high up room. Check in was slow and staff members were stood around. On leaving, I was given completely inaccurate travel information by two staff members.  Service at Massimo's was poor to say the least. The manager told me Massimo's would contact me about this and they haven't. So sadly overall this was a complete let down. The quality of the room was poor and the manager has been dismissive. I've so disappointed and it has put a shadow over what was supposed to be a memorable trip. I'm actually quite upset by it all and feel let down by how it's been dealt with. Read less
