A luxurious, landmark waterfront hotel, Westin ensures your every comfort is met at the Harbour Castle. Beautifully appointed guest rooms with Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed and Bath offer a welcome retreat at the end of a busy day spent sightseeing. There’s also a heated indoor swimming pool in which to wallow and the WESTIN Workout Gym, overlooking the picturesque Toronto Islands — enough to inspire anyone to take to the treadmill! Afterwards, recline in the whirlpool or, if you’ve still energy to spare, perhaps a game of tennis or squash may tempt you. There are plenty of restaurants close by but highly recommended are both the hotel’s eateries. The Mizzen serves exquisite à la carte dishes alongside a very tempting buffet to start your day, and when evening comes around why not try the incredible cuisine of Michelin Star chefs Ernesto & Alfonso at Don Alfonso 1890. If you're looking for something a bit more chilled, retire to the Chartroom Bar and Lounge where you can grab a local brew and a range of dishes, throughout the day.

Busy harbor front hotel with their convention center across the street. Right next to the ferry terminal. We got the lake view room we requested on a newly renovated floor. Busy harbor front hotel with their convention center across the street. Right next to the ferry terminal. We got the lake view room we requested on a newly renovated floor. There's still work in progress so make sure you specify not on a construction floor. We were there because the hotel was included with the Great Lakes cruise we had booked with Victory Cruise Lines. Friendly reception staff and great concierge desk provided us with a few "don't miss" suggestions after determining what areas we might be interested in. Wonderful breakfast buffet available as well as off the menu items. Lively lounge / bar scene serving food last. To sum up, great hotel location wise, amenities and staff. We'd stay there again. Excellent for work trip, clean and comfy. I can’t say enough about the front office manager, Miguel. He was extremely helpful and went out of his way to make sure everything was awesome. I was coordinating a block of 22 rooms for a conference and he helped with all the details. Room was spacious and clean and it made coming back after a busy… Read more

It was a fantastic stay. A newly renovated room overlooking the lake was perfect. The designers took into account the stay experience when updating. They built in a motion sensing light in the bathroom so if you use it in the middle of the night the dim light is enough to see inside the bathroom but the light doesn't blast the bedroom area. They built in a motion sensing light in the bathroom so if you use it in the middle of the night the dim light is enough to see inside the bathroom but the light doesn't blast the bedroom area. The bathroom door is translucent. Also in the bathroom was a filtered water tap. I don't think there's any issue with Toronto water but it was a nice feature. In room coffee maker, mini fridge, robes and slippers were nice little touches. Location close walk to almost everything downtown. Lastly, the service was phenomenal. From check in to housekeeping to maintenance (AC unit needed a quick service due to very hot conditions) everyone was very accommodating and friendly. We didn't have to wait more than a couple of minutes for someone to arrive. The finishing touch was dessert and a bottle of wine delivered to our room for a special occasion compliments of the hotel. Class all around. Read less

I was here to attend a conference, so it was not my choosing. I'm Bonvoy loyalist and was quite happy with this hotel overall. On the plus side; staff was pleasant and ready to help, the room was nicely renovated, quiet, spacious and clean. I was upgraded as a Bonvoy Elite member. On the down side, my room had trouble with the A/C, but after switching room it was much better. The elevator situation is quite cumbersome here and has been for a while I believe, sometimes the wait for elevators was long and often they were too full, which could cause safety issues. On 5 or 6 elevators in my tower, only 3 were working. I wish a subway station would be closer than having to walk over to Union Station. Being on the waterfront is either a plus or a negative, depending on your feel, I much prefer being downtown or even uptown (Bloor), the Sheraton Centre Hotel is better located in my opinion. If you want to be on the waterfront and don't mind the elevator situation, the Westin can be a great choice. Cheers! ;) Read less
